...and here I am back in Bombay, only to be pounded by more torrential rain...and it keeps coming like there's no tomorrow.
By the way, is that a Chennai Metro Rail viaduct under construction in the first photo?
@Bombaywalla & @nickatnite i have a question. what is legal acceptable / allowed TINT level for private automobiles across India ( or your respective metros). I see some Pitch_black and some smoked glasses through out sharings. what is traffic ticket penalty for such violations. Please share
The Supreme Court of India has recently banned tints across India. All private and Government cars cannot tint their glasses. Not sre about the fine. But I am sure that its not much. This is slowly percolating across the country. In Mumbai it has become very difficult to drive with tinted glasses and all out station cars are getting fined left, right and center for tinted glasses. Of course there are people who are breaking the law and driving about with tinted glasses but it will not be for very long.
the Metro rail project has been underway for the past two years now and has made a mess of the major roads etc., but i guess it is worth it in the long term. thankfully it hasn't rained for the past two days but the clouds are still there.
gloomy
@yusha78 has answered well. it is up to the states to enforce and they cannot refuse the supreme court so they are trying.
