muslims majority in India speaks urdu.Hyderabadi(india) Urdu is funny to hear(some bollywood movies got that). 
while ,actual language usage in India is Hindi with heavy urdu content like in bollywood movies(almost kind of).there are local changes to hindi like mumbaiyya boli and then delhi with punjabi influence.in south india ,hindi/urdu is understood while local languages are more used.
while south indian malwari(malabari/kerala/malayali) mappila/Moplah muslims speaks malayalam and got araby-malayalam for writing sake.mappila community is different in its origin as it owes its origins with the visit of malik ibn deenar.
