My New 4808 (New Ride)

First of all many many congrats on this new ride, Drive safe bro
Well i sold my Alto 2010 model (Desi model) in November 2011 and purchased new Honda City, but now i feel that a small car is MUST, because i can't drive city everywhere specially if i have to go Androoon Lahore also the traffic of Lahore is getting wild every cycle and bike wala try to touch the car and put scratch on the car lol..

First i planned for new Suzuku Mehran (as a small car for day to day use) but after watching this thread, i think i should go for a imported car.. the local one's material is too bad these days, even i am not satisfied with the new Honda City Teen-dabba material

Now Honda City giving me 14-15km/l without AC, and remember its a 1300cc. So i think this 660ccc should go for 18-20km/l, it all depends on the drive style as well. Did u calculate the km/l manually of is it in the Meter i.e in digital format?

I really need to ask few things:
- Did you see the Auction Sheet of this car? if yes, then what was the Grade Category for its Interior and Exterior.
- What was the millage at the time of import?
- You think 660cc is ok for AC? 800cc mehran ka AC to kaam nai karta lol
- What about its part? specially the Air/oil filters etc and other mechanical parts? like Goday,suspension stuff etc?
- Can you please tell me the Importer name and place from where you purchased it, (contact number)
- Any problem in getting documents from them? or any other issue?
- You are also from Lahore, so can i personally come and check the car interior and comfort level? what about a mini test drive

Sorry for being away.. Was on a mini vacation for 3 days. Away from TV / Laptop just relaxing. Just came back to LHR and saw your post. Yes indeed its a comfy car..Toured 500Kms on this beauty on long. Very good response. As far as fuel consumption is concerned many ppl confuse it with the CC of the car, which is actually not rite. Remember , City is IDSI which burns each and every single vapour of fuel thus allowing it to consume maximum fuel without wasting it through exhaust.PLUS it has only 8 Valves whereas other 1300 cars like baleno have 16 Valves On the contrarary, Alto is not IDSI. Whereas it is DOHC. DOHC is for more power.Power comes on the cost of Fuel.
AUCTION SHEET:: Haaaaahhh....I dont trust the auction sheet anymore bro. I,ve seen multiple auctions sheets of similar cars i.e forged auction sheets. Sheets can be easliy prepared according to your requirements. Hence i dont trust sheets. 1 thing is for sure that these car's meters are reversed here. The only thing i look is the Interior and exterior condition. The car should have good interior and the body should not have any touch ups...Thats It..
PARTS:: Basic parts like Air/Oil filters are easily available. Oil filter for 290/-Rs and Air filter for 240/-Rs. I got them from Filter House Mont Gomery Road..Engine parts are easily available.Infact the engine assembly
(Head + Block) is available in Bilal Gunj for 25 - 28K..
A/C:: The car has very good pickup with A/C turned on.No Signs of enging dying and no feelings of car under trouble while driving with A/C.
DRIVING COMFORT:: I had Civic for last 12 years and before that i had Margalla for 7 years..This is the first time i,ve bought a small car. Today i came from Head Rasool which is almost 200KM away from Lahore.Believe me it was my first expering of a small car for 200Kms in a strecth. It was Perfect!! The suspension proved to be great, and there were 3 people in car, 2 adults and one kid. Car was easily driven at 120Km/hr on motorway.I myself was surprised..

2 DIYs...
1: Throttle Body Service. + Tappet cover removal just to have a better look at the timing chain.
2: Number Plate Light replacement from normal yellow bulb to LED. Bumper had to be removed.

Changing of light bulb is ok, but why open engine (yourself or by mechanic) ?

did you check the timing chain wear by TDC method?

@Dr Kazim, Its not the engine being opened. Just opened the tappet cover my self and serviced the throttle body.

@Xulfiqar, Nopes bro. Just was curious to see how is the visual condition, i know it would not lead anywhere but still ......

I want to ask you something,;
I gave Khalid Bin Waleed road (Karachi) a visit yesterday too look for a nice Probox when this Suzuki Van sort of car caught my eye.The van is a complete package.(Suzuki EVERY).Now the doubt Im having is that will the 660cc engine be able to handle the load with A/C ?
How is your car's engine performing with A/C and 3/4 passengers?

Suzuki every's engine capacity is not 660 CC .. As the max loading capacity of all 660CC is 200KG. Whereas Suzuki Every has max load capacity of 300KG. Just like probox has of 350KG. Anyways. my alto even though loaded with 350KG weight of passengers runs well and without any noticeable effort of car.. Obviously with A/C it would felt being driven with more effort.. The best part of alto is of having a DOHC engine in it. I have tried Daihatsu Move , believe me that is one underpowered car. Only difference of it not being DOHC..

Sorry for being away from my own thread.. Cervo has a FF turbo in it..
Cervo's parts are not available in Bilal Gunj.. Went to B.G last week, saw ALTO doors available / Complete dash board available (From which i jusy bought Ash tray) / Front complete Show (Nose Cut) available.. Where as i couldnt see any other japaneese 660CC imported cars parts. Not to forget that the price of parts is v.v.v.v high at the moment. Imagine Pair of used headlights taken out from nose cut = 65,000/-Rs

It clarified many things..
But still I am confused due to 200kg max capacity.. that means I wont allow 5 friends/family :-s
And RR Seat Adjustment.. as u said.. U adjusted the vertical cushion setting.. But I heard that whole seat needs to be fitted a little back to increase clearance b/w RR and FR seat.. One of the posts above also lights this issue as "two variants of alto; one with large luggage and congested RR seat and other with small lugage and large clearance b/w seats".. Needs help!!

Yeah! Its been 4 days since i bought it and i feel relaxed that i dont need to worry about days of cng outage!!! I bough it from newspaper ad, the guy was into imported cars business, he was demanding 6.25. But got the deal finalized of 6.
