Use 3M high quality adhesive double tape which can be remove easily in case of breakage. Silicon/Magic is non-removeable it will damage the paint.
Here are little solutions.for mud,its matching flap.and for grocery shopping bags,when hanged with safeguard,there is a chance to touch the silencer.grill is for this purpose to keep shopping bags away from silencer.

Went to check this bike out at the yamaha dealer today. It looks very handsome and well built, dont know abt the performance though but im sure it will be up to par.
The bike has adjustable shocks and can be lowered for your sister. I have seen women riding on the back of ybr125. This should be enough to clarify that bike is a family bike
