Iv heard pso's regular fuel is 87octane rating whereas premium should be 91octane.

However total and shell's premium is 91octane
(Explains why i always got bad milage from pso pump and better from rest)

Pso's hi octane however i dont know... i guess it should be 91+ octane level

CG's owners manual says octane rating should be 91, if ur bike knocks at regular fuel then fill her with hi octane

@automotorsport_lover ! Shell's Premium is "normal Petrol" with 87 octane rating. Hi-Octane is LABLED as Hi-Oc.

Btw, even if you DO want to put in Hi-OCtane, DO NOT go for "Half and Half". Put jus 1 or 1.5 Liters of Hi-Octane and fill the rest of the tank up with normal Petrol.

As long as you use good quality petrol, your bike will be fine.

CG125 is VERY sensitive to bad fuel. So i'd say CHOOSE only ONE petrol pump which offers the best oil (look for user reviews as well ... say, PSO pump in Model Town, or Shell pump just before Batti Chowk) ... and then keep using its normal petrol. I am sure you won't be disappointed.

In my whole life, i have NEVER used more than three petrol pumps, and mostly have been using ONLY ONE. The Shell Pump at Larri Adda, which is not there anymore because of the construction. So now i have to go all the way to Batti Chowk to get it filled, which is like 8 kms away from my house. When i am in my institute, i used to use PSO Pump at Model Town Roundabout, and its quality of fuel was pretty good too. Actually very good.

Other than that, i have never taken a risk of checking out other fuel stations.

Its amazing how you see the cg125 as a glass princess jis par agar banda cheenk b marday to wo bikhar jaye gi. Go on honda's website and read the development history of the bike. It was painstakingly developed JUST for developing countries. Jidhar ka fuel ganda hota hai and the ppl dont do routine maintenance. Honda knew there would be substandard fuel and developed the motorcycle to handle just that. This is the reason it has thrived in pakistan. Its a bulletproof bike thats designed to serve its owners reliably.

Carry on with these statements because these only make my words about Pakistan People's hypocrisy, stronger and clearer. Everyone knows that its engine requires rebuild (in today's era) after just 30-35k kms. Thats the quality we are getting these days.

As for fuel ... Ganday talaab main agar Achay paani ki machli choro *** to uss k bachnay ki umeed na karo. Exactly like that, if you go ahead and put Hi-Octane in CG125, its not going to product ANY results at all, except increasing your expenses thats all.

ammar ... I second that ... I read a comment of MAP's president that in 80s he met two english girls who were crossing Paksitan on a CG125 and to hi amazement they did not new it actually needs an oil changes after certain miles... so Just imagine ...

recently I saw pictures of a Pakistani dude who si right now crossing Spain on his 2009 classic CG non euroII on his cross continents Tour... mind blowing..

but dont take abobi wrong he did not hate cg for no reason he has some very valid points which i endorse as well... Its totally fine that they continue to make it just like Royal enfield continue to make there Bullet350 but atleast enfield has launched the efi bikes as well which are up to date ... but incase of AHL we only see sticker changes in decades and now they are copying china bikes... I mean its a shame for a Japani vendor to do that in first place.
And that is one major reason I dont chose AHL products too..

Vicky bhai, i am sure he has the reasons, but statements being made on professional forums should not be personal opinions, a lot of people view these threads as guests and what if they make a wrong choice because of an incorrect statement? I dont like AHL too, but we cannot deny the CG125 has Honda's awesome engineering behind it.

Me? I just booked a Suzuki GS150, even knowing the present issues that plaguing it, but kya karun. Had planned to get the CG dream but i cannot bear the vibrations and the handle etc. Suzuki ki adat ho gayi hai. Still, i would always recommend the cg125 to anyone who's looking for a reliable trouble-free ride:-)

I meant "BAD" fuel. Pakistan main he rehte hain na aap? Kya aap ko nahi pata k yaha some of the fuel stations sell very bad quality petrol. And your bike CG125 will IMMEDIATELY tell you if you have put in bad quality petrol in it. Thats what i meant by "extremely sensitive to fuel". After that, not only its fuel mileage will be greatly affected, but it will refuse to run like its supposed to. Bad fuel also means more carbon deposits which essentially engine rape sooner than expected.

Agar aap ko kisi baat ki samjh nai aati, or if you have doubts regarding any of my statement, just ask me to clarify and i will. But you don't need to act like CG125 is out of the world. About time you let it go and move forward towards better alternatives. OR ... choose to stay in the stone age. Your call.

I own a sprinter( which i bought brand new last year, knowing resale and parts issues). And ive just booked a GS150( lots of issues ). Why? Bas mjhe pasand hai. Logically these suzuki bikes make no sense. Theyre a burden economically and mentally. Mashwara amanat hai, is liay i never recommend Suzukis/Ravi etc. Only honda, cuz Ahl makes reliable basic bikes which is exactly what the masses need. Why did i tell you this? Because you said Honda ko chorh do(in different words).

People ignorantly choose to support Atlas Honda and continue to bash other companies because they think Atlas Honda is best brand in Pakistan (or with best products). This might've been true back in 90s or early 2000s ... but NOT NOW. Now situation is different, and it demands a change. yehi main waja hai men recomend nahi kerta logo ko us brand ki kambakhti tu ati hai recomend kerny walay ko hypnotism expert , fan boy, reverse psclogist ka khitab mil jata hay .. lekin ye sari batain tab ignore ho jatien hain jab koi CG lay leta hai ... chahy uska engine agaly din band ho jaye no issue..

I am sorry. I really am. Because some of the things about people here make me go MAD. And its not just limited to Bikes, it goes to much much bigger level. Like electing political leaders.

I don't disagree with the after sales support of Honda. But we all know that Atlas Honda has a special hand over their head by Govt. Other companies don't. Which is why every new company fails in Pakistan in competing Atlas Honda. Same situation with PTCL.

Bhai main nay baat hi nai ki koi, to dam kahan say a gaya;) i would recommend you to comment with a cool and calm mind, no need to get aggressive about it. You want to recommend ppl bikes with large number of claims and quality control issues, go ahead. I will keep on recommending the safe option(atlas honda). Its not about being ignorant and all that hot-headed sarcasm coming out of you, it's about accepting realities. Ignorant wo log hain jo motorcycle fans honay ki waja say logon ko unsafe options ki taraf advise kartay hain. Keep the needs of the person ahead of your own priorities/theories.

congo to the owner , its a solid bike , and absolute trouble free , except stiff ride . but there is a thought at the back of my mind , we say about change , but we do not support it . Its absolutely his money and his bike , but still i think i have a point
