i couldn't find your post where you mentioned that boiling or flash point of all 5w-30 is also 230 Celcius so higher temperatures dont matter to minerals or synthetics or 5w-30 is as protective as 5w-40 or 5w-50.

let me clarify that's not the case.

race cars use atleast 5w-60 oils. why?? because they actually operate on a higher strains on the engine components and operating temp is higher. the actual measure of weights in the oils is viscosity index at a specific temp.

usually road cars operate at 100 degree celcius so if you see that the viscosity index of higher viscosity 50 weight oils is better at 100 degree celcius as compared to 40 or 30 or for that matter 20 weight oils.

viscosity index is actually the ability of the oil to stick to metal parts at operating temperature ( in simple words) of the engine. so 5w-50 is more protective. i hope i have clarified this.

now when we talk about mineral and synthetic oils the main difference is that synthetics maintain their specific properties over longer interval where as mineral based oils usually loose their properties sooner.

now if we are using 10-30 mineral it would be fine. no issues at all if you follow the maintenance routine religiously.

opting for mineral 10-30 would mean lower operating costs and thats the advantage. however if you intend to run the car optimally for lets say 300K KMs than safer approach would be to opt for synthetic 5w-50 specially if u have a heavy foot and u floor frequently.

Just one thing mate, 5w50 isn't the recommended oil for this engine worldwide, and that's the only thing. Why should I choose another oil if I'm getting the fuel consumption like this 13.4km/l 529 within Lahore done on automatically topping the petrol from total?

Light and heavy foot aren't the main concern for the econobox car. Xulfiqar bhai didn't even recommened 5w50 mobil 1 for this engine.
Actually, the thing is we Pakistani have a mindset of "mota oil is acha oil baki sub to aiwiein hi hain"
Bro, my gli has done 220k kms and out of which100,000 on 5w30, rest of 120,000 on 20w50.
It's going still great.
Why should I change the oil and go to a non recommended oil and put extra load on engine and keep reminding myself that it's a mota oil engine ko kuch nae hoga and in the end it will affect the engine!

No idea but whenever I fill up at reserve. I can go for 40liters on automatic notch of filling station. I don't get it filled upto the top manually.

Yo! Got the same one in my car as well.
Btw, I did the black papering on whole light for my 2010 gli, but the only issue was that indicator light intensity was suppressed. Same is the case for the people who put yellow paper in front of headlights.

New modification: Morimoto 2 stroke led came in my hands, light intensity is way better than cheap chinese hid. Installed them in genuine koito fog lamps.
Will share some night pictures soon.

Cooling system is damn good, it doesn't get hot, and even the fog lamps are cool while it's running so it won't burn anything
Color temperature is 5500k

I'm using petron plus 10w30.
For best fuel consumption you need proper engine run in during first 2000kms. I hope you would have done that. Go for same oil
