Basically, I feel, Honda should just have face-lifted this car a bit, and launched the new one on same platform.

Finally, nice honey-moon fuel consumption there, did it correspond with your refill?

Many Congratulations on the purchase of the R18! The car is indeed a gem. I don't know whether you've floored the pedal of your new GF and heard her scream and howl at 6500 rpm pr not yet . Every time I do it on mine, there's a big grin on my face.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Anyway, the excellent fuel economy is mainly due to the fact that Civic has a 5 speed auto. At 90-100 km/h, the rpm is around 2,000. <o:p></o:p>

I mean if Honda delays a car more then 45 days so they will pay you a percentage of 8.5 multiply it the amount youpaid while booking it goes like this
Booking amount X 8.5% X days car delivered to you= amount they will give you I think they will pay u about 1 lac

By the way, do take care of its skin, don't let surf and detergents and hard cloths near it, get a good car shampoo and some good wax for it and you will keep it shining and good looking for a looong time

I was waiting for your comments. Always pleased with the selection of your words and your ability to put them across.

You are right, I also feel that Honda should had given it a facelift. I will also try and get it if I find any good source but Steering Controls and Cruise Control Installation is on the top of my list.

When I took the car for 1000km inspection to Honda Centre RWP, the sales manager told me that they have ordered parts for cruise control installation so I have placed a pre order with them and waiting for that. That, I believe is a bigger upgrade.

Sir, I am running on 70:30 ration of regular : high octane as the Honda guys at RWP told me. I have not researched the effects of high octane on R18 yet , but one thing is for sure... High octane is not helpful in keeping the engine clean or but I still have to look in to the myth of High Octane and Regular mixture.

For better efficiency you have to compromise on your ego a lot .. When you see clutus or alto crossing you on motorway.. one really feels to floor the pedal But then I say to myself ... Aaall is well, aall is well ... I am saving fuel

I floored the pedal only once just to see its zest and i didn't dissapoint. crossed 100kph in a jiffy !

9.1 seconds is the time that I've clocked for 0-100 km/h. Maximum speed done is 187km/k. Ran out of space.

My friend has an R18 in Abu Dhabi and he said that the car wasn't going over 211km/h (i.e. it was drag-limited where the engine's force is equal to mother nature's air resistance)
