today i bought a new laptop Hp Pavillion Dv6700
Specs
Intel Core 2 duo 2.00(T5750)
3 Gb RAM
256 Mb Geforce 8400M
160 Gb HDD
Bluetooth,Webcam,remote,WiFi,Card reader,2 headphone jacks:D etc etc

u can see the glossy finish on the HP
as the Dell Laptop is antiglare

glossy is way more brigh but not in sunlight:)

I bought it for 4090 SAR from Jarir Publication
with a leather bag,2 gb flash,headphones and wireless mouse:)

Mine is pretty much the same except I have the T5450 (1.66ghz) processor instead of your T5750 (2.0ghz) processor. And I have a 250 gb hard drive.

And that gloss finish may look good, but it's a bitch to keep clean! Make sure you clean it at the end of every week.

I spilled coke on my computer while going to california a few weeks ago, but thankfully there's no damage. The screen is somewhat messed up, but the damage is almost invisible.

I'm planning to buy the accidental protection warranty just incase something goes wrong again.

i have been having the HP Pavillion dv2015 laptop since 2006 now and i have to say that even till now,,,none of the dells and the toshibas are near its screen and multimedia features,,,,,,,,,,simply superb machines by HP,,,,

and i have noticed that this series has found a huge market,,,,,,toooooo many machines sold in the last 2 years

yes these are gud machines, infect i also have both of these models, but my older one in dead now after an accident, and newer is still young.

i myself have a dv6500 with an amd turion 1.8....jus remember to be very careful with the screen...my screen stopped working cause the on/of switch in the hinges got loose...so if i opened it,it would remain dark and not turn on...

an excellent purchase. these are no doubt amazing machines. i have been using a dv6310a with a 1.73GHz(T2080) Pentium Dual-Core for the past one year and its going strong uptil now. but i feel tht the hard drive is a bit noisy, any suggestions experts?

Yes i do, a glossy finish may look nice but the reflections you get make it very difficult to use in some places.

Even at your desk at home you have to put your laptop in a place where theres no light directly behind you, or even overhead lights.
Having even a bit of glare/reflection can be very annoying.
