The base model Nano still sells for RS1-lac plus tax which is R33,000 approx.(tax may be higher is some cities/states)

What will change when i turn in this car for service after one month of driving as required by TATA Motors are the wheels.
:o .. they will change tires for free??... now thats some customer care..

would love to see alloy rims on it..

The interior pics didn't turn out too well and this is the clearest of the ones i took. I'll take some clear shots tomorrow of the center console and rear. I'll be taking it in to the dealer next week to fit a sound system. I'm playing it safe and sticking with the dealer for now even though , obviously prices are higher. Most aftermarket shops are only now getting familiar with the Nano's wiring system as i mentioned earlier, sales have been steadily increasing and people are now taking notice of this car seriously.

Initial tuning et al i guess . I don't know as i was asked to schedule service after a month. and i want the alloys on too. This is like a fun car for me, easy to drive and great for parking in tight spaces et al. I gotta get rid of the ghastly black mudflaps too.

Here's another pic of my yeller critter. Tomorrow i plan to take it out in weekend traffic which is nasty in Chennai and i'll have a report. After sitting in this car the Alto feels like a straightjacket. Fuggedabout the M800(Mehran).

Yo Nick, congratulations on the critter mate. We both got our new cars for 2011 about 10 days apart. The aunty two doors down got delivery of a yellow Nano two days ago as well. She looks happy! Looks like everyone's buying this as their third/ fourth city runabout.

Have fun with it and keep us posted on how she fares!
