Square subs have more cone area than round subs and thus give MORE BASS.

lets consider 2 SUBS - CONSTANT XMAX 15mm
2 12" round - 15mm Xmax 130db total 1000Wrms
2 12" Square - 15mm Xmax 131.5db total 1000Wrms1.5db gift cause 25% + 25% extra bass = 50% , that is 1.5gb gain
at 500Wrms 2 12" square sub will give same output as 2 12" round
usually they consider 2 12" square as 2 15" round. thts very good cone area.but u have to pay the price..... bigger box. mayb 2.5-3 cubicfoot internal for each.

both are square and more or less arnd the same power
( i am not advocating big box just asking for clearing sum doubts)
