My new purchase -- Nikon d5100!

I am going to buy DSLR in end of September. Confused between 600d,d5100 and d90. My budget is max 100k.

Priorities.
Professional videos (600d has more manual options in video)
best image quality (d5100 is better)

I personally think d5100 would be best for me as its little cheaper then 600d means i can have more lenses and about video DSLRs are not made for prof video recording. Secondly can i get a better video recording on Nikon through better lenses?

D5100 is a very nice camera

@hashims, if you know exactly which lenses you will require; I will encourage you to check those lenses rates for both Canon and Nikon as well. Canon lenses are cheaper in general; for instance its 50/f1.8 prime is 9.5k and Nikon's is 12.5k. Canon's 18-135 is ~30k and Nikon's 18-105 is ~27k. My point is adding 2-3 lenses the higher 600D price gets adjusted, and if you are really into videos; 600D is considered better.

Yeah Nikon lenses are expensive. I am interested in videos but its the pictures which you take every time. I saw a comparison video of 600d and d5100 they were almost same. Being a Nikon fan i guess i should finalize d5100.

D5100 for 65 quoted price from digital palace in karachi ... didnt do any bargaining because i wasnt there to buy camera just to get some info ...

i researched about the same thing and what i found was that D5100 with the kit lens i.e 18-55mm is sold for 8k then and there when buying the camera. In return they are giving the 18-105mm for 23k. Only body is around 59k. However 18-135 and 18-200 will cost much more.

I just found that reverse phone lookup is very nice. you can find anyone there. Give it a try.

i have used the 18-105 for a while with the nikon d7000... i think its a good lens and should get it.
however i didnt like the costly lens from nikon as they dont have VR. and also to make things worse, all pro lens on the internet are being reviewed against the 18-200/18-105

Exactly what I meant b4 ... Y do ppl regard 18-200 as a very good lens when the image quality is just as good as the 18-55 and 18-105 if not better.... I have seen ppl compare the image quality of 18-200 vs the 1000£ lens 24-70mm...

@Smart: Why did'nt go for a canon D500 or others in Canon ?

I observe Canon is better in all day click -- morning, noon, evening --- whats so good in Nikon ? Price/Setting/Name/Life

D5100 is better than the few full frame DSLRs of canon, you can simply compare them on snapsort(dot)com
the only drawback is that D5100 doesnt have autofocus motor, but on the other side, high quality lenses runs on it (AF-S).. which are way better than canon's lenses for sure..
