Yup I heard that The Duties have Gone Up More that Double and Import Policy has been categorized by Engine Power ... Is that True ??
if Yes when would it take Effect ??

Basically they're going to go back to the old method of duties, going by MSRP (manufacturers suggested retail price). So let's assume the case of your bike a brand new 2012 R1.

MSRP is $14000
Duty would be 80% of $14000 = $11200
So just duty alone would come out to 10.5 lacs

Whereas in the old scheme it would have been $4250 = 4 lacs

So expect a price difference of 6 lacs or so on brand new bikes & around 2-4 lacs on older imports. 2012 were going for 18.50+ before, now they will go for 24+, so you have made a very good investment

However this is still speculation as the S.R.O hasn't been issued yet, but dealers are already quoting new prices.

you are 100% true. i was with spangle aka zeeshan in isb 2 days back and visited few showrooms. ryders has already increase the priced upto 4 lacks

Forgot to tell you, if you haven't already then get a y-pipe for your bike. Check where the exhaust is mounted, do you see a dholki? If you get rid of that & replace it with a y-pipe, not only will you lose 7-8 kg, your bike will also perform/sound much better. The dholki has a CAT built into it to pass noise/pollution emission tests. Getting rid of it means less weight to carry around & also a HP gain as it will now be free flow. Best investment i made for my ex-R6.

yes bro dholki is removed and y pipe is installed rest zeeshan will tell you who tested my bike all the way some dangerous stunts like tailing redlining etc

hahahh am satisfied with the current setup. its power is way too much for me to handle and if in near future it seems slow to me i will sale it and get its elder bro or gsxr 1000cc

and for your other question i am not that expert and dont ve technical knowledge on bikes, zeeshan will tell you in detail he is guru and bike b usi ne hi le kar di hai it was his choice MASHALLAH and i just paid for it and now enjoying it
