Congrats a lot!
You are the first guy to get a 2014 Ravi piaggio on PWs! Great...
Bike looks awesome, specially the handle bars are nice.
Glad to know about their customer service and how they quickly resolved your problem, I guess you wont be having any complains now...
Ravi piaggio is a niche market, produced in a very limited no. And the buyers are a few of the shoukeen and aware people... there is no interest of Ravi to automate their plant, to import robotic machinery or invest highly in their assembly line because only a hand full of Ravi piaggios are made every week on their plant... all assembled by hand, by tecnitians and chances of human error are always there.
The good thing though is, they are keen to resolve issues.
For brake-in period:
Keep ur bike max. or below 50km/hr or 5k rpm in the top gear.
Idea is not to put load on the engine.
Change first oil at 300-400kms range
2nd at 1000 and get it free tuned from dealer.
Regular oil changes to be done at 1000kms after that.
Use best oil you can afford, avoid local/korean oils.
I dont recommend kixx, zic, caltex, pso oils to anyone. Even shell is so so... though shell is on top of the list on fortune 100 companies
Shell/ caltex only if you can guarantee they are 100% genuine.. (I have not been able to find any genuine source of these )
I'd highly recommend Liqui moly racing 4t oil, its available in 750Rs here in Lhr. Best, proper oil you can get in Pak.
DONT use car oils.
I also recommend using a good quality wax on ur bike as it has many plastic parts and twice or thrice a month waxing is very good for it.
I recommend Mother's caranauba wax for you. (Approx 1500Rs)
Keep ur tires properly inflated, inflation rate is written on a sticker on your bike's chain cover... most probably its 22psi front, 28psi rear for single riding. With pillion it is 26 front, 32 rear. Consult your owners manual. Check air pressure every week and your bike would never get punctured, tire's life and braking would drastically improve.
DONT FALL FOR PUNCTURE WALAS TELLING YOU AIR PRESSURE TOU 45-50psi HOTA HA G 125 KA...
I personally use tire shops where there's a digital air pressure machine, other wise despite of you telling them to fill 32 they'd fill 42... coz they think they know all and are super genius.
Good luck... drive safe, use these rear view mirrors and invest in a quality helmet like Studds.
