Its neither a front nor a rear. Boxster is a mid-engine, the engine is just few inches behind the seat and ahead of the rear boot. You cannot see the engine on a Boxster unless the car is lifted up.
Lets hope this particular Boxster S is not wrecked again like its first owner.
