My New Ride ~ Civic 9th Gen. M/T~

Our 9th gen had a weird projector cut off, sort of like a bubble. Was taken back to the dealer who went something like 'LOL, its impossible'.
But after he saw that, a mechanic looked into the matter, found that the bulb was not correctly housed, he fixed it and we had a perfect razor sharp cut off again.

And congrats for the new 9th gen, u made a good choice. But u bought something else, and u did the biggest mistake of ur life.

It's true, sometimes I do think I made a mistake as build quality of new cultus is really pathetic.
But calling it the biggest mistake of my life was really a bit perplexing as I have committed some HUGE BLUNDERS in my life

Tell me whats NOT pathetic in a cultus. Drive it on a rainy day and u'll be happy to throw it off a cliff and return back home on foot.

Assuming u need a small car for some purpose, and u spent around 1100k on the cultus, My suggestion is sell it right away and buy a slightly used 2011/12 swift in that price. Better option than cultus.

Bro, it's cent percent true. I cant deny a single bit of what you have said but I got inspired by a thread calling Cultus a Workhorse and we actually needed a workhorse that could run more than 120Kms daily without giving any trouble but my post-purchase experience with cultus is totally different. It's not a Workshorse .. It's a "Khoti" making strange noises, which needs continuous spanking on its rear to make it work.. I thought of selling it but who would buy a new cultus for 1m Rs. from me when its readily available in the stock without any premium. Recently I witnessed a spike in the price so have changed my mind and thinking of installing CNG in it.

point being, the concept doesnt seem good either. and also imc would launch a pathetic downgraded version of this just to keep the cost down so that their potential market (rural areas) dont move on from toyota.

Odo was showing 580KM at the time of its 2nd refill and warning light was still not on. I will post my detailed feedback about the mileage alongwith pics on Thursday as I am gonna take it on the motorway. Wish granted; you can see a pic of the mileage now:)

Sir, it all depends on engine and gear ratios. You will be surprised; even with presence of 6th gear 1.6 Altis M/T needs more revs than Civic for 120Kmph; it needs 3294 rpm to be exact and Civic M/T needs 3132. About fuel economy I dont think there will be any significant difference.

The 5 Speed auto box of the civic does a nice job of keeping the revs to a minimum. My 8th Gen prosmetec cruises at 2,000 rpm @ 100km/h & 2,400rpm at 120km/h. The same will be valid for 9th gen prosmetec if the ratios are not changed.

9th gen prosmatec has the same gear box and drivetrain as the 8th gen. No difference in rpms, none that I could notice. However, fuel economy is significantly better.
