buddy my HU ac control work without insert map disc also fm radio is working only maintenaince n navigation doesnt work....it says insert map disc

You can turn on / off these using the hard buttons around the screen. However, many of the ON SCREEN soft buttons will be unavailable. Thats what I mean.

Of course there are HARD buttons, under the screen, from where you can turn on/off the audio...tune the radio etc...and the ac can be turned on using the 'auto' button, etc.

Well...you're right salik...I checked the functionality of my nav system after ejecting the dvd...

The on screen audio controls and ac controls and mileage meter and all those utilities still appear on the screen and you can interact with them without the dvd.

The screen only keeps showing some message in japanese...otherwise the audio, ac and other utilities are functional.

However, without the dvd, many other on screen features are unavailable.

yea u r right my HU doesnt have the dvd in it....wen my HU got replaced there was no dvd in it....all i had to do was to find the dvd n install it but it was not installing just found out tht my HU memory not working :(...... have to find same memory from the markx HU n also it cost 10k -15k so i left it just like tht

-where is the long light which comes on the ceiling if the car doesnt have sun roof? the pictures dont show it...
-wheel air balancing is wat???

@nomicool: if ur talking about the standard navigation which comes with all markx's , there is a way to disable the "insert map cd" problem without inserting or modifieing anything.....

i didnt found dvd or 6cd changer it only have a single audio cd

@Salik: Most of the functions in the screen of the mark x work WITH the navigation dvd in it (eg ac controls, maintenance log, etc). The GUI of these things is in the navigation dvd....

Mark x doesnt come with a dvd changer from factory...they're all after market...it either comes with a single cd disc player or 6 disc CD changer from factory...

To increase the frequency of fm radio, you need a simple fm kit costing around couple hundred bucks.

@volver: What you're trying to say is known as 'tpms (tire pressure monitoring system)'. Can you please post a pic of it?

oh i thought S-package 250G does come with the 6 cd changers....anyway i just found out tht in japan whoever bought these markx from factory choose their own option such as 6 cd changer, rear view curtain n ceiling led lights....there r many more options which m missing.....btw for tires wheel balancing....did u saw on the HU screen?
