Driven just over 50km in last three to four days...I am carrying my car through break-in period with extra care and caution...

I am observing following precautions:-

• RPM not to go beyond 2000...and no sudden increase in speed...
• No sudden braking...
• No driving at continuous speed...

These precautions to continue till next 1500km to 2000km...

Any more suggestion or professional advice?...

Photographs were taken in poor lighting conditions...hence are not that good...I will post more pics next week-end...

But above all...I want to keep this thread as a log...and post picture of my car as it ages in months to come...as sort of a historical record...

and dont worry about they pictures they are much better then what people post

Conragts! Beautiful car! Btw don't take the break-in period too seriously. A little care is all thats needed. However do ensure you take it on a long trip (preferably Lhr-Isl-Lhr via M2) before 2000km on the odo

Point one is the most important and speed limit of 70 would be good(consult the manual)
i think you can drive at continuous speed.
and if you drive smooth enough you wont need to do sudden braking.

Thirdy these days Running of NEW car concept has finished
but i would highly advice that you consult your Manual(even Honda staff can mislead you because they have dasi Theories)

precautions: YES

1) Dont ever even think about leaving it unattended parked somewhere...10 secs is all it takes for someone to ruin ur life savings and u wont even be able to do d*** about it after its happened EVEN IF U CATCH THE GUY.

2) Always maintain a good percentage of Hi-octane in every tank full of fuel.

3) Get its surface treated with mothers 3 step system, meguiars tech 2.0 wax or turtlewax Ice system with a good amount of top coat wax, after that never clean it with a dry cloth...always either get it washed or cleaned with a clean(clean means washed with ariel or brite in a washing machine) cloth that too wet n then dry it with a CLEAN microfibre cloth.

congrats bro/i m also going to get mine in jan 2011 inshaallah/ a red oriel pros nav/though i really like stock cd palyer in ur model/also do let me know the tyres brand that u install

195/60-R-15(thats what i think is the stock size for civic) go for es100 for performance(as a friend has experienced they last for 30,000kms)
or c drive for performance and comfort a300 for total comfort

I have previously tried C-Drive on my Honda CITY 2009. I was not particularly impressed with the tyres - especially road-noise.....

How about something from Michelin or Pirelli?

Well in Michelin you have the option of Energy Savers but i am not too sure on those perform.

Yes they are good tires and about availability and price i have NO idea. they are knows for extended life and less tread wear
