@bass.lover1...if u r making great effort and spending money on restoration, why not pick one of its original colours/shade in order to retain its originality...this car was purchased brand new/zero meter by my Dad in 1981...it was in metallic light blue colour, 4-speed manual transmission and came with 18R (2,000cc) engine...had excellent suspension and very quiet ride...v had it for about 6 years...still have a lot of fond memories...pl try to keep it as original as possible except for the engine which as i can see u have swapped with a much modern/bigger/powerful one.

I think there is a slight deviation in the body line (encircled in the pic). It may be due to the angle of the pics, but do make sure that all the lines are aligned..

@oracle....what an instant blast from the past!!!! Man thanks for sending me decades back down the memory lane...the car in the picture is exactly the same car/colour as my Dads...I still remember i was extremely excited and went with him to the showroom on Tariq Road to take delivery...oddly enough, i can also still recall that the car had 000061km on the odo at the time of taking delivery...thanks again for reviving many fond memories associated with that car..
