Well there is something fishy. I bet XLi can't go beyond 170. That too very very well tuned. Otherwise 150 is maximum for that......

Bhai jaan, I think its impossible, I lives in Saudia and we have Corolla XLI 1.8 Loaded with sunroof Etc. etc. (its our family car), its automatic, we all tried to touch 200 KMPH mark but it never ever touched 190, it has gone 185+ but not 190 (that too on slope), the maximun speed we reached on highway is 180.
And this thing is understood that cars are driven on petrol here in Saudia. Fuel grade was Petrol 95.
We also have a camry 2008 and it cant go more than 220 KMPH that too on slope. Due to the excellent quality highways here these speeds not seems unsafe, speeding is common here (Thanks to Develpoed Infrastructure), and one more thing Toyotas and hondas in saudi Arabia are directly imported from japan so this is not the case that at the speed of 80kmph your car is flying like in Pakistan (For Xli).
