The only advantage of getting an old car ( less than 1000 GBP) is that the insurance is low.
Once you've driven it for a year and have passed your driving test and earned a 1 year no claims bonus , the insurance on the next car will be considerably cheaper.

I presume your PCP contract comes with some conditions in terms of the mileage and the overall condition your car needs to be kept in, for you to return it to the dealership at the end of your contract?

That's correct. 5,000 miles per annum.

When I got the car , I noticed that the drivers side mirrors holder was cracked. I pointed it out to the dealer who asked me to email the pics to him and he will then call me back and let me know when to come in. He has just confirmed that he will get it fixed.

I finally got the chance to check the car in detail. Here are some detailed pics.

This Audi has day time running lights. They also switch on when I unlock the car

If you keep pressing the unlock button, all 4 windows automatically roll down - An interesting feature if the car is parked in the sun for a long time. And yes, it can be quite warm on a sunny summers day in UK.

Electric windows and electric heated door mirrors. The mirrors tend to become very icy on a cold winters day and this is a nice feature. Unfortunately they are not folding.

Central locking - The doors automatically lock when you drive the car.

Auto headlights with fog lights. So when it is dark they automatically turn on and they revert back to day time running lights when it is bright outside. The odometer brightness setting button is in the lower right corner.

Paddle shifters - they feel very "plasticky". I thought they would have nice click to them and would be silver in color. These look very dull. I don't think I will ever need to use them.

This car has rain sensing wipers - This is a very useful feature. The windscreen washer fluid is also heated, so there won't be any ice forming when I use this in below-zero temperatures.

The S Line steering is amazing - I love the stitching on it and the feel of it.

Voice control - Another feature which will be rarely used. At least it understands "home" and "change track"
The "nav" button brings the navigation system on the multimedia screen and (de)activates voice navigation.
The volumes controls are also located here.
The * button is a favorites button. So you can choose whatever you want this button to (by going into car settings on the multimedia screen)

This button controls the multimedia display on the dash between the odometer and tachometer.

Cruise control - This is a very important feature since I can easily over speed on motorways.I was doing 85 MPH when I realized what I was doing and immediately used this.
The minimum cruise speed you can set is 20 MPH.

Autostart stop feature can be disabled, the traction control can be switched off, the mutimedia screen can be slid up and down and the drive select button selects the driving mode: comfort (softens the suspension), efficiency , dynamic or auto.

MMI screen controls. The center knob also has a touchpad making it easy to enter destinations on the navigation system while driving .
The smaller knob is the volume control and you can change tracks with it.

Electronic park brake.
When you siwtch the car on, you have to press the brake pedal and then flip this button upwards to deactivate the parking brake.
In order to activate it, you simply flip it down.

The S tronic gear - the best feature of this car. And what a beautiful gear stick !
