I have heard many stories of people getting fed up with the government (mainly lanati police) system in trying to get their rights.

All credit goes to the OP (I think Ali) for his persistence and patience in fighting against the corrupt, using the right connections, and winning against all odds. It shows things can get done without bribery and other unethical and uninslamic manner if one is patient and persistent.

The help of Allah is with people who act in this manner and not ones who mainly rely on luck and prayers. This has truly been in an inspirational story with a positive ending.

I think this story should be published in the newspapers or TV for information to others so they know how corrupt, lanaty, and lazy is our kali wardi and white wardi walay police. I am grateful for Pakwheels for providing a platform where people can share and learn about stories such as this.

It took me 2 straight yrs fighting this case to get possession of my vehicle.

Many people (friends & family) who knew about this case, suggested me not to waste my money over a lost cause and get over it but still I did not lose hope, I had faith because I was in the right path and all odds started to turn in my favor. It was a tough job running from Lahore to Faisalabad and Faisalabad to Mardan but eventually after all this struggle, my efforts became fruitful and payed off

ALLAH surely help the people who help themselves.

This is good material for the TV for sure but promoting a tv channel is not my thing. my experience with the kali wardi and chillars have been the worst. Allah is mulk ki kacheri, police aur hospitals say ham sab ko mehfooz rakhay. Ameen

No progress made by the police, the I O changed again. The SPO directed the SHO and SHO directed his I O to make a report for cancellation of the FIR.

Three I O's have been changed within the last month.

The application seems stuck with the I O and its not moving forward. I will wait another week and If no progress made by the end of this week. I might have to file a complaint against the police department.

Challan is what you say (namukamal) uptill now, Police department ki incompetency ki wajjha say suffering abhi bhi baaki hai. Anyhow, we have given them a written application on stamp to take back our FIR and cancel our complaint because the vehicle was returned to us and we have the possession now.

do nothing but write an application to SPO requesting status update of your application attach a copy of that. Just like we all are doing here with you. As in govt process submit the letter and get it received wait 10 working days for reply.

Play nice and easy police offices can not sit idle and shove documents under rug. like sardar sab said start correspondence send reminder by TCS every 10 days. Police can not decline cancellation of a 9 year old FIR for which they have not done a bit.

The Rail Bazar new I O and I O incharge have been avoiding my phone calls. Also, they have not responded to the application either. I called the SPO they said that we are waiting on the I O to submit the report for cancellation process.

calling them over phone is useless exercise. You can write a letter to SPO mention all previous correspondence with no response. Make sure you highlight the issue once again in subject line as : "voluntary withdrawal and cancellation of fir no xxx dated xxx at (name of police station)"

policeman be it an IGP from css class or an IO only return call to their superiors or to the "party" which is "moti asaami" . common men phone call is useless waste of time for them.

I received a phone call yesterday from the police station, that individual was saying to report to SP office tomorrow, I told him that Its not possible because I have a job and I have to inform prior to my work place before making any trips. I also informed him that I have visited SP office and gave reference(diary number) that you((rail bazar police station) was suppose to submit a report for cancellation of the FIR because we have this matter settled now. Anyhow, I told him that you guys need to follow up with my case and close the FIR because I have provided what was required for cancellation of my FIR but still he was persistent that I have to show up.

I will lodge a complaint with the subject line as : "voluntary withdrawal and cancellation of fir" with all the reference and efforts made by the police to recover my vehicle.

Let's now wait and see how long it takes to get over and done with.

and continue this like for n3xt letter as
PF/your car no/02 dated so and so

Start new letter by quoting old letter reference in start

Keep doing this and they will never loose your letters

next time if there is any such phone call, never decline ask for time and person to meet. That will make it appear as an appointment. ( do not go because you are not their employee or criminal who can be summoned at will ). When you will not turn up, there will be a next phone call but from another person a new number, do the same.

For the 3rd call you can politely say if my presence is necessary to process my application 'i can come on ( date day & time ) ' because of my job if thats ok with you please confirm. I will call you (on the same number) when am there.

Prime Minister's Performance Delivery Unit. It was launched in 2013. You can find more information about it on the website. https://citizenportal.gov.pk.
I have never used it. But according to the OP PMDU and citizen portal was effective in resolution of the issue.

No offence but It was PMDU that helped my case on keeping Excise and the Police officers on their toes until this matter was resolved.

Written an application to SPO with all the references, all police individual have difference opinion on getting this matter resolved. Iss mulk may qatal ki FIR wapas ho jati hai yeh toh sirf aik gaari hai

The SPO have asked the concerned police station to respond on previous application on cancellation of FIR.

They haven't responded on the application up till this date after numerous request. They are only best on sweeping the complaints under the rug therefore this matter is still pending. However, we have again explained all the situation in black and white to the officers concerned.
