You are talking about front or rear brake???
Talking about front brake, i checked about 15 bikes there, and most of the them had poorly aligned brake shoes with drum, you pull the lever and it doesn't push brake shoes enough against drum to stop the wheel and if you tight the brake then it will cause wheel to jam.
Finally i found a bike which had them perfect the way i wanted but it had some black spots on right front shock but i wasn't satisfied with brakes of any other bike, so i took this bike even though it has those spots. But this sacrifice really paid off, braking is excellent, i can almost jam the wheel if i want. My friend checked it and commented," you got the discbrake for free"
Rear brake shouldn't be problem on any bike i think, it's just the stock tyre isn't enough for a bike of this weight. Put a 100/90 or 3.50 tyre at rear and you are good to go.
But all in all, suzuki should really pay attention to this issue, this bike doesn't have discbrake, and on the top of that their front drum brake isn't working properly also in most of the bikes
Sir, don't call them crap, tech might be older, but still they have highest quality in market right now. And if a friend who is not so techy/into biking, and just wants a good powerful bike, i'll still advise him to go for deluxe.
I didn't hire a professional photographer to make it look better in pics, these pics are just taken by my mobile.
I agree that quality control isn't so good, if you go to showroom, you can see minor defects here and there with a keen eye. will keep updated about issues i face
