Cultus will take ages to reach the speed of wagon r. Both are more or less the same in weight. It's just that cultus doesn't go as fast as the wagon R. I was doing 80 km/hr and didn't feel as if I'm going out of control. However the non availability of ABS freaked me out and I slowed down before I would've crashed a wagon R test car - that would've been embarrassing

Cultus takes time to get Upto speed and brakes are worse then alto
I have raced cultus efi with my alto and alto in 400m is just awesome i wa surprised how good accleration of alto is when tinkerd a bit
And brakes well asuki brand is better then mkb OEM

Try nippon next time. They are really nice in my cuore. Never make noises and have excellent braking. Slightly expensive tho..
Can't say anything about durability because I've used them only 20k kms:D

@ Omar575, wonderfulll review bro, very comprehensive. In many ways I think you and I are in the same boat. Im moving from a Vitz 08; and for reasons relating to maintenance/parts quite similar to yours, moving to a PKDM. I too have narrowed down my search to primarily swift auto but for some reason in RWP- ISB in particular, they're extremelyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy rare. I spot one in like 10-12 days of a 100km daily commute.

My concerns re: swift auto are about a) the fuel consumption and b) throttle response. Wanted to know your thoughts on these.

Fuel economy will decide about wagon r key selling point, indian website claim it to be 18-21 km/l which is pretty awesome, anything above 12 km/l is good

the manual swift is awesome, i have one for the past 4 years and its a peach- nothing what you would expect from paksuzuki (https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/members-member-rides/141615-my-experience-new-swift)
the main reason the auto version being so rare is the insane price tag. the swift auto would cost us above 15 lacs with registration!!! in that people prefer a city or basic corolla.
the fuel consumption entirely depends on how you drive a car. i require a car only for city driving , i will very rarely take it above 100 km/hr. so the 4 speed auto tranny will work fine for me.
I drove the auto tranny swift and it has smooth shift for city speeds (ie upto 80km/hr). so for city driving, i would completely recommend it. however at higher speeds, its going to be a gas guzzler

test drove one today from sheikhan motors sialkot, i drive a corolla as daily driver and khyber for small trips(groceries, pinning etc... ). and santro of my uncle sometimes. so will be comparing wagon r to these two hatchbacks.the accleration was on the good side, torque was quite linear and engine felt alive all the way from 1.5 to 5.8k(didnt take it to 6 because it wasnt mine) it performed better than santro and equal if not better than khyber(which is good because i eat idsi's in khyber(lil bit moded under the hood and removed some unnecessary weight) the engine was quiet, and the car was well insulated from road noise.the brakes were like they are in non abs hatchbacks, although felt better than santro(maybe because it was new car). but u need some finesse to make em work like a charm, because cultus, khyber even being non abs handle slamming the brakes quite well even in a rainy day. but those who drive xli will feel safer in wagon r.the handling dissappointed(scared me). because it has really good road grip but its body rolls quite a bit, although it wont topple over easily but because u are always sitting at an angle when steering it above 35+(which is non existent in khyber) and it is not a comfortable experience.the interior felt comparable to the 660cc jdms(low end varients). but instead of going for vxl+ accessories, one can buy a vxr and fit all the accessories for less than 50k (and couple of extra ones too if quality is concerned)overall the drive felt better compared to any pkdm in 1.0l category ever. the gear box was pretty smooth and the engine liked to be reved. and the steering was really light.the only question is forgot to ask the difference between the three trim levels, i only got to know their price. but a wagon r vxr is a better buy than cultus efi for sure.

Wagon R is a nice car that is launched in our market after a long time. Many customers of Cultus and Swift would switch to Wagon R. But the pathetic thing again is quality, i have checked it at a showroom and i found the very plasticky dashboard and quality was not so good. it should have a Day/Night Rear View Mirror instead of just a simple one. and they are charging for the basic features of the car as the special one. eg: steering knob, and chromed door handles(inside), matching door handles(outside), matching bumpers etc. When i opened the boot (diggi) the tools they have provided (jack rod, jack etc) are in thermo pole( which is not a durable thing, they should make a box like ones we find in jdms).
A/C throw was better then Cultus. Engine was a bit soundless. again there is no Namda(insulation sheet) in bonnet. and I think Diggi is only Key-Operated in both basic versions and only operated through wired remote in VXL version.

I will upload the specs sheet later with a better resolution and image quality so everyone could read the features among all 3 variants.

Currently I own a Cultus 2011 (45000Km), i wanted to switch to Wagon R. but i am concerned about its Resale, Maintenance and Parts. and Personally I Like Cultus Shape more than Wagon R. I am still in doubt that should i switch from Cultus to Wagon R or not.

Indeed its more spacious than cultus but the biggest drawback is abs they must have deployed abs in wagon R, as car slips on breaking on high speed..... I guess cultus is more stable tahn wagon R as its heavier in weight.

Suzuki was reluctant to introduce newer engines in Pakistan as the company said it wanted the trade with India to liberalize first. The reason as they stated was that their engine development and manufacturing has moved to India.

Can someone confirm if the new K10B engine is made in India?

i think you meant mehran, santro, cuore and other small PKDMs.. swift is way better than wagon r.
in my opinion, you should keep the cultus till next year atleast.. the wagon R is no different than the cultus. I mean, there's no auto tranny , no significant improvement in comfort levels either. you will get the same 3s service you're getting for your cultus..
wait for other options.. may toyota introduces the etios by then, and maybe there's a reduction in price of wagon R .

I also checked this but analyzing it logically, this does not make much difference since Internal dimension is different from External dimension of the car, Cultus is narrow at the top while wide at the bottom, means less cabin space, while wagon r is more of square shape, so it is better to compare space by taking Internal or cabin dimension rather than outer dimension. Wagon R has the space advantage from any other small PKDM because of height, seat are placed at height so your legs sits perpendicular to your body , it is chair like poster, while cultus seats are very lower it gives you a poster as if you sitting on the floor.

i tesed wagon R drive i felt like applying braked makes the skid and unstable.... i guess its due to height and small tyres

The only credible point on which we should salute suzuki is that immobiliser and seat belts are available on all variants.
This is a big thing, I hope honda and Toyota learn something and offer this in their upcoming base models.
Other than that, there's nothing special.
