Amsterdam, also known as Venice of the North, is indeed an excellent city. I visited it in 2007. besides many goods, what I liked different in Amsterdam was the use of bicyles. u will find designated bicycle track everywhere, with frequent parkings. people used to board on underground metro with their bicycles, which also have specified space inside and offcourse one have to take bicycle ticket also along with own ticket
