As per my knowledge 4by4 is disengaged automatically after a certain speed like 50 or 60 kms and is on all the time at low speeds. Correct me if I'm wrong but this information was provided to me by a person who owns a 1.3 4 wheel drive.

Don't worry about the millage just check if anything needs to be replaced like fluids,etc. I was wondering why your car has got D3 as its 1300cc and wouldn't it be D4 gear? Can anyone explain this? BTW millage is very good too!!!!

its written on da chasis plate on the left pillar when u open front left door ! 2szfe luks like da 1000cc engine of 2004 vitz and 2nzfe luks lyk x corolla engine has a vvti plastic cover on the top , 2szfe is 2wd n 2nzfe is 4wd !
2nzfe willl be slight costlier on fuel as its 4wd !

No way vitz can be better than corolla.... Don't compare it, however yaris/ vitz is best in its class in terms of road grip in stability but corolla is a different thing.
