2015 Volvo S60 Cross Country

This is the first instance of Volvo applying the Cross Country name -- which debuted on the XC70 station wagon back in 1998 -- to a sedan, but when the car was first announced a few days ago it seemed like a logical use of the all-wheel drive mechanicals already offered on the V60 station wagon.
The S60 Cross Country features a ride height increased by 2.5 inches, and of course comes with Volvo's all-wheel drive system. This version of the S60 will ride on a choice of 18-inch and 19-inch wheels wearing high-profile tires. The sedan will also feature plastic cladding around the wheelarches, but not to an extreme degree, with the raised ride height being the best tell-tale sign that this is the Cross Country version.
The S60 Cross Country will be paired with the T5 engine, producing 250 hp....that's the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder powerplant also available in the V60 Cross Country, not to be confused with the new Drive-E T5 engine, which is very much a four-cylinder. The T5 five-cylinder will be the only engine offered in the S60 Cross Country, however.
