Bro, THIS IS SPARTA!!! here we invent such novel and unique ways to hide controlled stuff which noone else can do, hence scanners and sniffers get a challenge.

there was a common practice for regular travelers from Dubai to Lahore to put two liquor bottles over your laptop in hand carry to avoid scanner!

so this is our own predicament as eagle say 'prisoners of our own device'

Any liquid above 100 ml is not allowed to carry to the plane anymore, this could be in the old times. They must have outdated scanners which can't detect liquid behind a laptop. Stand by the monitors at dubai airport sometime to see how they see everything colorful clearly inside the bags and could identify something suspicious depending on the expertise of the operator.

this is their duty to check for our safety. always be polite with them, they will not open your luggage. I travels many times, never they open my luggage. one time I have something of stone (chattoo watta, dont know english:grin:) in a carton. the person on scanner tell me to again put that carton in rotated position. I put rotated position, then he tell me you have that thing, that was not showing correctly, so I tell you to again put in rotated position, otherwise we need to open this carton.
otherthan this never happened any thing, or never they tell me to open any luggage.

This was my first time too and there was no reason to open my bag. Custom officer asked questions and then asked his colleague to check just one of my bag while not even touching the other two bags and my bags had nothing but cloths.

I lost my luggage and people at the counters weren't helpful at all rather rude.
