When you are in atm you always wanted to get out of it as soon as possible safely, as no one else could spot you. Check each and every note is not possible and that note was very close to the original one.

Banks can never do such a thing, if they're found doing such misconduct, SBP doesn't take long to shut them down...

Once MCB gave me a fake 100$ fake note, so a bank can do this they are no exception. May be any one from bank can tell us that a fake note can really go into the atm machine or not.

Obviously fake notes can go into atm machine, it's humans who money in it....

btw how fake was the note ? Like a good copy (like a proper organized crime) or just eidi wala type ?

I think you should report it. Even though you may not be able to recover your lost money, but there may be more instances of fake money and if you report it, it will be tracked down faster.

Once a friend of mine got a fake note of Rs. 5,000/-. He deposited it in his account through Cash deposit machine. Next day the bank called him and said a fake note was deposited in your account. My friend asked how do you know it was deposited by me?? The banker said yesterday we only had one deposit in the machine and it was your transaction. :-).

Today i withdraw 10k from atm machine and it gave me 1k fake note and now my friend says nothing can be done now, i should tear the note in half so that it can't be used again :s

Sorry to hear.
Similar happened to me once, a 1K note was fake.
It was a really 'complex' note, had quite a few security features, including the water mark.
I showed to a few of my friends, and they were also amazed.
However since it was fake. (the small flag's colour and material quality both on closer examination showed issues). I went back to the bank.

The clerk rejected by commenting, their ATM machine is fool proof.
Went Straight to the Branch Manager (he was a nice guy), and facilitated.

In brief the Branch Manager exchanged the note, after cross checking the transaction details.
They said, the bank maintains transaction details upto 4x working days.

Since its not yet 4x working days for you, perhaps you can try visiting the Branch Manager.
(do let us know, what his reply is)

Lastly if still does not work out, Suggest to send written complaint to the State Bank, including the fake note, with all other details, like transaction location and time.
Yes, the State Bank does take action.
