Lawyer and rights activist Jibran Nasir has been "picked up by unidentified men" in Karachi, his wife Mansha Pasha told Dawn.com late Thursday night.

Pasha said they were coming home after dinner around 11pm when they were intercepted. "Around 15 men in plain clothes with pistols surrounded our vehicle and took Jibran forcefully," she said in a video message, requesting for prayers for his recovery. They only kept yelling at us to get out of the car and offered no explanation, she added.

اپنے پیسوں سے پانی پوری کھاتے ہیں تب پلیٹ کا پانی بھی پی جاتے ہیں ، آئس کریم کھاتے وقت ڈھکن بھی چاٹ لیتے ہیں ، مونگ پھلی کھانے کے بعد چھلکے میں دانہ ڈھونڈ رہے ہوتے ہیں.... لیکن کسی کی شادی میں جب کھاتے ہیں تو آدھے سے زیادہ کھانا جھوٹا چھوڑ دیتے ہیں، ایسا کیوں ؟ ایک باپ اپنی پوری زندگی کی کمائی لگا کر اپنی بیٹی یا بیٹے کی شادی میں آپ کے لئے اچھا کھانا تیار کرواتا ہے، ایک ماں باپ کے محنت کی کمائی کا اس طرح مذاق نہ اڑائیں۔
