From Isb you get onto the motorway and exit from Burhan interchange. From the exit point head toward the Cadet College Hasan Abdal and take the road to Haripur-Abbotabad. From Abbotabad you have to move toward Mansehra and then Balakot, Kaghan and finally Naran.
Naran is about 200km from Islamabad, but because most of the journey is mountains and you stop at several places for rest+photos so it takes as much as 7 hours to reach there. I have mentioned my travel time in one of the earlier posts.
I went in my Coure and yes you can go there on new Corolla. Roads are in much better condition than what I saw in 2008, however some patches are still under construction but the work is always in progress so no worries about it. But because Corolla body is lower, some passengers of the back seat may have to be evacuated when you come across a muddy spring where the road is under construction.
Hotels were much cheaper in the days I visited and a room for two days/nights cost me Rs1500, I stayed at Lalazar hotel, there are many hotels there, you can find proper one that suits your budget.
Weather gets somewhat cold in the evening so don't forget sweater/jackets to take along. Plus sun shines bright in the morning so also carry a hat or a cap to avoid sun burn.
I hope all has been covered.
