    Same mistake at mansehra to shinkiari was done by me. Btw did nt u visit the Tea research centre at Shinkiari?? Its a beautiful place to view.

This time we could not find a room there.last time stayed at Shimla resorts..Room Charges I think is around Rs.4000/night..Basically it was house of Present Ayub Khan right on the top of mountain with lush green lawns in front of the rooms and some playing stuff for the kids too...so overall not a bad place to stay...
Your second question is very interesting....all the pics you are watching here are joint efforts of me and my wife.Two Cameras are in action simultaneously.one in My hand and one with my wife...every interesting turn or sight is captured either by me or my wife..So its like that I am driving with one had and camera in the other.My wife and daughter are very much afraid of this habit of mine...She assures me regularly that I should drive with both hands and she will not miss anything.But I can not help:).
Further more stopping frequently to take pics...you are absolutely right that it takes almost double time to reach destination...But that is the fun part of it...
This is my second thread of individual trips...But you can see me in action with Lbc/pbc on their trips.:D.I will post the links here..

Its a little tricky at Mansehra to pick the right track towards Naran...Actually we left Abbotabad quite late and then deviated from our right way almost reached Batgram which wasted almost two hours...So I wanted to be on the right way and enough time to stop frequently for pics.So I missed that..Next time INSHALLAH.......

You are right dear...destruction from earthquake was too much and that area has not fully recovered yet.
It was a very sad Sight...such a beautiful place in such a bad shape....MAY GOD KEEP ALL OF IN HIFZ-O-AMAN..AMEEN..
