A road side view...frozen streams....
see the water gathered on the right side its very dangrous one must aviod going through it. it can be a ditch.
it happened with ME once and while coming out in 4x4 high i screwed the Clutch:(
And another.....see the lush green mountains with pockets of frozen water...
at such roads Corolla's ROCK. its as good as a land cruiser(cost factor)
@qwertypoiu....You are right dear...these mountain roads are very tricky and one can get stuck if not very cautious..Casual/overconfident driving is very dangerous on these roads because there is no room for any error....MAY GOD KEEP ALL OF US IN HIFZ-O-AMAN.
@qwertypoiu...well...Corollas are ok but I feel that 4x4 vehicles are better to use in these areas....OH I am going to post a pic then you may say that "cultus rocks"...
Some locals/visitors from Balakot and surroundings having a lot of animals(sheep and goats)....there is a lot of grass in this seasons so they take their animals here for free grazing and also live at the same place...Same sort of temporary "Basti"..
we again stopped to take some pics....and a local kid is looking for a lift:).see the "road" we are traveling upon..but it can't be better because of very heavy snowfall..
yes they are not totally comparable with 4x4 but i have a 2006 corolla and its been 4 years now and 45000 on odo still going strong and is rocking on roads like you posted above
View from the other side...these type of heavy rocks fall on the road and locals/jeep drivers make the road jeep able again every year in the season for their business...
@qwertypoiu...45000kms are nothing for corolla if running on petrol and not on CNG because gas burns the valves and valve clearance is gone.making them tight...And their is no Valve adjustment on these engines except to replace shims.........OH I AM SORRY....going technical at wrong place and absolutely wrong time but Can't help...These models have better road clearance so more successful on these kind of roads....
My son hanging out of the jeep to see ahead but its ok because we are not moving yet....But a very nice view of the road...
yes lets stop this corolla debate.btw mine has toyota maintained and NO CNG till now:)
