There is also one more criminal problem with navigation igo3 in civic 9th Gen which hurt me the most. I got my civic a couple of weeks ago and initially i thought the speakers are just too awful and asked TW ppl about it, they said speakers are installed by honda and there is nothing they can do about those speakers.
I came from CIVIC 2010 Reborn with Navigation and sound in that car was far better then this new civic. So I started to dig out what is the problem with this new igo3 Navigation system in civic 9th Gen.
I had a spare ipod lying around i hook that up in to the system it picked it up and played the song. However the sound quality is 10X better then what i was playing via usb and sd card. To confirm it more i copied around 5 same songs into usb,sd and ipod and starts playing them 1 by 1 from all these. SD and USB Sounds same shitty mess. but the sound its creating from ipod is 10x better then what is playing from usb and sd card. I went to the graphic equaliser setting and i tried to fix it but no hope. The equaliser module for USB and SD card is messed up on software level, The hardware is there and capable of doing many things but the software is buggy and have some equaliser module issues. If not then how come ipod is playing with such a high fidelity sound.
I called the TW guys and told them about this, they said they are aware of sound issues and some patch is gonna come in next 1 - 1.5 month and it will be fixed then, (who know if it comes or even not).
I am a sound freak and have another car which has SQL system installed in it, so i can easily distinguish what better sounds feel like.
Hope they will fix it in near future. I can live with all the bugs listed above by fellow owners it has but at least i need the sound quality which is coming from only 1 source i.e the ipod. If any of you guys want to try then try it and see.
