First of all you must have all the essential safety gears i.e a good quality DOT approved helmet, elbow/knee guards, a good quality waterproof trouser with jacket, wind breaker jacket and a pair of waterproof rugged high ankle shoes.

If you want to save some bucks then buy good quality camp, sleeping mattress, sleeping bag, inflatable pillow and a polar fleece light weight blanket.

Side boxes to carry fuel, tool kit, puncture kit and other essential accessories i.e gear, brake levers, head/tail light bulbs, throttle/clutch cable, tubes. Do carry spare front/rear tyres.

Trunk box to carry your utensils, stove, food and tea items.

A good quality tank bag to carry your important gears like DSLR, Compact, handycams, USBs, Cell Phones, Extra batteries, power banks and you important documents and maps.

Last but not least spent Rs. 1000/ on first aid kit, easily available at all medical and super stores.

At the moment we are exploring whole Balochistan and will start our journey to North next year in May.

baltisitan is secure almost every where but the KKH is not "very" safe at night... area around Chillas is not very friendly either... its not advisable to travel at night ..

even at day we were welcome there by throwing stones at us when we crossed that place..

baki while travelling - try to get details from locals for ahead trackthey are very helpful in baltistan..

this is the fact i heard from a friend

he told me that even there are chances of killing of punjabi people

specially wearing pent shirts and clean shave

so was trying to ask . is this a fact ?

Exactly, just sectarian issue nothing else. As far as shalwar/qamiz or fain shent nothing is like that @silver_knife we will cross Chilas in chadi bunayn

Itna halat nahi kharab there are multiple reasons which make them behave like a weirdo... but they are not killers or anti Punjabi or nay thing...

First thing is large impact of two sects of islam live there and usually have clash with each other, the area is saturated by madrassas and you will see young boys of age 5 to 18years with "topi" and running like chickens every where....

The find it appealing when the see fancy bikes loaded like a truck and people with head cams.. I remember @rocketscience was welcome with a water bottle thrown at him.. and I was hooted along when ever I crossed any hoard of madrassa students and the did not threw stone aiming at me but would through stone to bike wheels or in front of it while shouting at each other in a language not known to me...

I heard about there bad welcome before from other travelers but when I experienced it my self then offcourse I will recommend totally to travel from chillas valley swiftly and in day light.

BTW # chillas KKH hotels line up is very good you may find good night stay there... but the waiters were very arrogant and we were not impressed by the food they had.
