Need help regarding thandianI visit

Route :
Lahore to Burhan (motorway) to hassan abdal to haripur to abbottabad. From abbottabd follow murree road and then going on it first ask someone about thandiani road. it is a steep road and u have to go on petrol/diesel. After u come back from Thandiani again follow Murree road towards Murree. Nathia Galli will be there on the same road. Dont know about distance in km.

THE route is accurate as suggested above.....

from abotabad it takes 1 hr to reach thandiani... in between kalapani is a nice place to have a cup pf tea......

in mid december there mite be some snow. ur vehicles are iideal for that just keep chains incase u need them or there is heavy snow.. its not likely tough

So u ppl suggest to goto thandiani first. Are there any hotels there for night stay or should we prefer staying nathia gali and visit thandiani the next day.

It depends on you..If you like Nature and " sakoon"..Thandiani is a nice place to stay..Full mobile signals...but no electricity...so charge your mobiles before going there..If you want to stay in Thandiani..I will highly recommend " Far pavilions" . .The location is when the proper Thandiani starts..there is a narrow road on your left side, looks like a steep ascend. Not mettaled but cars can go easily. Follow that road and after a few hundred yards, you will see first the Army Hut and than there is a left turn towards ' Far Pavilions' . The place is worth staying if its open in winter...Room rent should not be more than 500 since its off season. You can have Bonfire and live Bar-B.Q up there..Attaching a couple of pics for reference but these were taken in summer

I am not sure bro..never been there in winter...You have to go there and check...If its closed i would advise you to go to Nathia gali and stay there since the hotel rates are very low these days in Nathia gali

There are no hotels in Thandiani, so it would only be a day trip.
You can stay in Abbottabad if you like and then go to Nathia gali the next day.

I have visited thandiani many times. Very beautiful natural place.
Thandiani has considerable snowfall and the passage to actual place blocked with snow and you cannot reach there even on 4X4 wheeler. Stay in Abbotabad is beneficial in many ways like better residence on low rate, better food, less cold etc as compare to thindiani. The road from abbotabad to murree will cover many places along with Nathia gali. I bet you will really enjoy the trip if you are nature lover and this is your first trip.
Do not forget you CAMERAS please.

thandiani in dec seems difficult because of snow on roads. better 4 u to go to nathiyagali.many hotels r there as faraz told u earlier.

islamabad to abotabad
abotabad to thiandiani via muree road. . its very simple really....

Thanks, but asif sb, i wanna calculate time span from isd to abbotabad, as we r not cmng from isd, we'll be coming from faisalabad on friday morning. So i want to knw that can we reach thandiani before evening, say about if we start our journey at 06:00am on XLI corolla?

Yes Amir you'll surely reach in daylight till thandiani . It takes around 2 hours to abt from isl and another 2 hours ride till thandiani I guess.departing 6am would give enough margin, for you to take stops as well.

Well road health is all good, no issues, you can go , you might catch snow at some point on road just near thandiyani top.

There is forecast for little snow during Saturday eve in thandiani.
I’m not sure of the road conditions there. Others might help.
