Best way is to getup early and Leave lahore at 8am, it will take 2.5 hrs to reach Khwera. Gas is available around Khweora till "Kitas". Road to Khwora Kitas is good and hilly.(Khewra-kitas =30km)
Kitas to Kilarkihar lake not far. From Kilarkahar u may enter back into Motorway. So its a Loop type route if u wana cover all three place.

No fear on Motorway in these days.
security problem is on Link Roads of Area.
or Divisional -highways roads

When U are coming from Lahore toward Islamabad on Motorway.
After Bhera Interchange then come Lilla Interchange ( Pind Dadan Khan Interchange)
Exit from this Loop.
If U goes toward west then U will go Lilla Town or Lilla Salt Mines Area. Don't go that site.
Turn toward Right in East toward Pind Dadan Khan .After reaching PD Khan City take toward North Khewra Road.
straightway Reach at Khewra Mines.

After Khewra Mines take north road toward Choa Saiden Shah.If U take left turn toward Katas Raj, Khairpur and then Kallar Kahar Lake Site and Interchage.

Yes there are severals Old (200bc perhaps) Hindu tamples at Kitas and around Kitas.

Hindu Mandir in Jalip Site , If U ride toward Jehlum (Pind Dadan Khan-Jehlum Road)
Second One is Katas Raj Next to Choa Saiden Shah toward Kallar Kahar.

Third One is Guhkkar Rajput Fort on Khewra - Choa Saiden Shah road before Choa Take Right Turn.
few reins of Mughals Empire in Kallar Kahar.

When U Travel from Fetah Jang Toward Pind Ghaib then there is Tri-Angal Come after Khaur Oil-feild for toward Talagang or Dhoke Pathan.
Doke Pathan Bridge is Steel-metic Bridge made by Indian-Inglo in early 1900's on Soan River.

In Mid way of Dhoke Pthan and talagang One link Road go toward War-game Zone Area reknown as Chinji National Park.
That Track is just for 4x4 wheel drive.
But sure to take permission from Punjab Forest Deptt to play a Hunting Game over there.
But an other link road also goes to there from Chakwal -Talagang ( Mianwali Road) Right Turn before Dharabi River form Dharabi Village.That road is much better then 1st one.
Once two year back I visited with my friends and their dogs for hunting . We had Chased a Wild Baby Rabits at the End One from them U caputer there.

Kallar Kahar to Hattar, and from Hattar i guess its straight road to dharabi, which is not very far even from park??

Khewra is good picnic point , i visited in 2007. thats inside mine seen. this is salt made masjid.

Khewra Mines are Just Close for three days in Whole Year.
1st 10th Marharm
2nd 1st day of Eid-ul-Fitr
3rd 1st day of Eid-ul-Azha
