I am posting here photo of my water cooler we can see black particles at Base may be soil or sand.My concern is this water is from bore of 200-300 feet & we & neighbours all use this bore water.Should I apply some filter to purify this water safe for drinking?

bro you need to test the water for deciding about a sosafe filter system or for RO Plant

not money worth - at work it was provided by Lever FOC for testing & publicity. random test of water was done at AKU labs and results were not better then the so-safe filter we use in kitchenette.

yes please if the ground water is not good for human consumption then proceed with RO plant, otherwise simply buy a 3 step filter and use the ground water after filtering with comfort, Good luck

I have a filter with 3 filter stages plus a UV stage.

the filter stages are :

-5 micron
-1 micron
-0.5 micron

Any idea what kind of water is coming out from this system ?

the person brought his own water measuring unit to check the TDS its a long rectangular shape (similar to thermometer) and i dont think its that expensive

till now its going well! u will find the taste of water very different in the beginning but you and your family will get use to it! even our cats hated the taste of water too but now they fine as well! because i think all of the salts n minerals is being removed so its tasteless!!

We must however remember that pure RO water is not safe for health. Infact the fact that it removes almost all minerals makes it unsuitable for human consumption because the water starts extracting salts within body due to a salt concentration difference. For this reason, Plants of multinational companies strictly forbid use of RO water available in plant lines for any drinking.

Companies like Nestle and others follow a delicate process to add precise quantities of require minerals into RO water, Nestle then Ozonates the water so a few ppm of ozone keeps the water bactaria free(other companies use chlorine which can make mineral water taste 'karwa')

So-Safe RO costs around 40K with a mineral cartidge which you cannot trust until a proper lab analysis is performed.

Aoa can you please tell more about results?we use bore water at home,will this unilever device work well for us?our main concern is removal of sand,particles etc from bore water.

I'm thinking to buy it but can't find its reviews from users in Pakistan on internet.

first off all its not for bore / salt water. it is a simple filtrtion work only on tap / line water the boring thing is you always need to fill it by fill a jug from tap and and than pour in the pure it tank, in other words it is water filter.

Now a days there are alot of reverse osmosis kit avaliable at reasonable prices plus to remove sand you can always install a sand filter on your main water line.
