Need reviews on Nokia LUMIA 920

920 is not perfect

• Just charger and headphones; and that too in White; wth; where's pouch, audio cables and other goodies? Gone are the days when you used to feel privileged opening "N or E Series Nokia Phones"
• No Video out, no HDMI, though 920 do support DLNA/Wifi-Direct and there's even Nokia Play To app
• No MHL, no USB OTG
• Nokia Suite doesnt support WP8 Lumias; but luckily there's an app "Transfer my data" using which you can transfer contacts/sms etc from S60 Nokias easily
• Nokia Maps of Pakistan; enuf said
• Not enough Camera Settings; given it has "PureView" in the name; Lenses compensate to an extent; but still....HDR; there are paid apps for that; but it should come with one out of box!
• No still pictures during videos
• 920 does has FM radio in hardware; but Nokia + Microsoft still have to release needed drivers + radio app for WP8

Windows Phone 8 is definitely not perfect

• No battery stats / level in %age indication; 3rd party Live Tiles / apps are not good enough
• No Orientation Lock option; lying in bed with WP8
• No central Notifications
• No built-in support of Podcasts
• No built-in RSS reader
• No sound recorder, OneNote records in low-res and stops on screen lock; there exists free apps but its hassle to try different from the Store
• Manual installation of apps/side-loading can be done from just SD card..grrrr for Phones with Mass Storage and missing SDs (920!!!); you have to download "The Dark Knight Rises" (~800Mb) and other such huge titles onto the phone directly :-!
• Stupid way of sending files/data over bluetooth; you have to enable bluetooth first; it doesnt do it on the fly
• No FM radio app in OS
• No Adhoc Wifi support; even S60v5 used to have it
• Useless Search Button; its there to increase hit counts of Bing I guess
• In Flight; Not In Flight....what about In Meeting? Silent? and others?
• Alarm clock doesnt work when phone is off / battery dies during the night etc
• Single Volume Control for your phone ring / call / alarm / warnings-buttons; oh please is OS for grannies only?
• Just like Android; no way to specify to prompt Cellular or Wireless Data Access Point
• Missing Unified Search
• Missing VPN
• Being Microsoft product; where's my free RDP client?

Why some one would invest 60k on just for making calls and checking email when the OS doesn't have too many decent apps. For business point of view NOTE is hell of a phone with true multitasking capabilities and too many other goodies

In my opinion if some one really want to try different phone and Os then Blackberry Z10 is there which have at least good + android apps (of course more apps will come).

If ACE2 cant be compared to S3 then in same way you cant compare 520/620 to 920

Dual Core 1.5GHz vs Dual Core 1GHz, 1280x768 vs 800x480, 1Gb vs 512Mb and many more things
I have 620 as my backup phone; I am saying from its experience

[*]520 is identical to 920; yes they are from same family; but 520/620 has different feel and 920 has totally different feel!
[*][I]Dual core Vs Dual core: [/I]512Mb more RAM plus ~1GHz more ticks does make a difference in loading heavy pages / games
[*]920 screen + touch is far superior; even better than SIII; its 60fps seeing is believing; its more sensitive/smooth than 620 (and 520 etc)
[*]About apps in Windows 8; frankly I am not missing any; except Instagram and its coming soon to Windows Phone...Sharepoint + Office + Exchange + Facebook/Twitter...Live Tiles surely gives a stand out expereince

[I]920 has Superior camera and front facing camera with 1gb ram and more screen pixel which i thought one should buy nokia 520 in 20k and a canon D3100 DSLR for 35k in total 55k it will beat the **** out of Lumia 920 :P[/I]
I do have a DSLR and I wish I can squeeze it into my jacket or jeans somehow :-# I attended a wedding recently and didnt used the DSLR or camcorder and made all pics + videos using Lumia and it did the job well; videos are fantastic!

Same analogy can be applied to other ecosystems....One can get Nokia 105 and Nexus 7 (the combo will cost way less than SIII); Nexus 7 being Google device will guarantee you will get OS updates first and being Quad Core will run all the Android apps in the marketplace!

Nexus 7 Doesn't support Micro SD card
As i am saying again that both android and Wp os are differnet there requirement is different even a windows phone or Ios can run smoothly with out any lag on 800mhz pro and 256mb ram while android will lag a lot even with OCTA core. so it will make a difference how good lumia touch is it but nokia said they have used same super sensitive touch which can be used with glooves they have implicated same technology in 520 :P. As 520 is better then 620 the only thing its lack is flash and front camera.

I still said look at the difference windows phone can run perfectly smoothly at single core processor. Rest its OP choice most member i have seen said even the whats app is not customized for windows phone its uses a lot of battery and make the phone to heat up.

As ram is consider Microsoft haven't implicated that at least 1gb ram must for next update or any app which required greater then 512mb to run.

There is point to shoot camera to squeeze down in you pocket add 8k and get and nikon s2600 total 20+35+8= 63k

P.S i respect your opinion but i have just one concern is the price i would have been paying is not worth it till now don't know about the future. when i have so many other options available.

someone really close has it....using iphone 5 theeese days and before that was using s3...found iphone 5 better than s3 and 920 better than iphone 5

Well... just a few days ago I went out in the market to buy HTC One, browsed through alot of phones, including Z10 and Note 2. Wanted the HTC due to its blink feed since i like the Flipboard way of menus but was so much fed up of every TD&H using BB, android and iphone etc, hence I came out of the shop with a Black Lumia 920 grinning from cheek to cheek.. . The hardware is way ahead of others, let down only by the OS but still, I'm loving it. There is no alternative.

and yes, I'm flimsy, so I dropped it a few times, my kid while playing & walking hit the wall, dropped it too a few time and there is not even a single scratch! From what I can say, its the new 3310!
