Need sugestions and advices on purchasing a Printer

I bought HP deskjet 1050 PSC, but have been fed up with it. Have bought both original HP toners and also tried refills, but it suddenly start showing low ink levels and black print is always smudged or missing lines. It is good for scanning though.

I am also looking for a laser printer now, mainly for kids school/uni assignments. They use it rarely though.

Exactly, thats the main issue with the inkjets , i had 2 PSCs , both of HP , but they're not worth it unless you use it almost on a daily basis , which isn't feasible as we rarely print something
Laser is good , no matter after how much long interval you use it , it serves the purpose very well.
Plus the toner(powder) on laserjet printer is refilled for 500-1k rupees only and prints more than 500-600 documents
I'm also having laserjet 6l and it has printed almost 450+ documents and still going strong

You can clearly see in the images that this PSC is just there as a scanner now , the cartridges are gone now , another newer model of hp PSC is lying in my store room with all the box etc in brand new condition but with dried up cartridges

print , scan and fax combo are expensive to maintain,
i suggest you to buy refurbished HP Laser-jet 1320 , you can find from 6k to 8 K
a new scanner
don't go for color printer in your budget.

Cost ~rs.12k in market (online are quoting higher prices, check your local shops).

It has print/copy/scan but no document feeder(continuous scanning, instead of 1 by 1 page scan). For that you need a more expensive model.

i think the P 1102 is having wireless connectivity

They are also good , ONLY if the shopkeeper gives atleast 6 months warranty, if nothing happens to the printer in 6 months then nothing will happen ahead (thats what we can hope)

have hp cp1025 color laser from past 8 months with wifi excellent result 400rs for toner + chip refill more than 1000 pages in one refill but no scanner

I always buy separate items a dedicated scanner and ink jet printer problem with all in ones is the scanner can be low quality be limited and the printer may have a combined ink cartridge if the scanner fails then the printer will work with a all in one that is a risk as you can't replace a scanner independentaly
I got a canon pizma 8750 its a a3 photo printer and a canoscan 6000 which can scan negatives so in terms of quality that the way to go

Dnt know abt canon but this hp model I have in office it's a trouble filling it's ink biggest issue
