well in swat valley u have mentioned every thing that wud be assesible in december (depending on snow)...

options 2 and 3 r not worth it in December form karachi

option 4 and 6 will be very hard in snow..........

options 1 and 8 r ok..... i guess.........

Plz see my comments in BLUE. Plan 1 is quite reasonable although. In your original plan of Kalam, it seems that as a member of a team it will be difficult for a whole team to reach at athe extreme far places of your plan. Also seems difficult to cross Badawi pass.

Seems quite ok: Kel to Arang Kel may have snow on trek

4. 4 Days Fairymeadows / Nangaparbat basecamp (seems tough at end December )
5. 4 Days Naran Valley ( Naran- Saifulmalook- Shogran) (possible but might be challanging: Right now jeeps are going to lake)
6. 3 Days Maulla Ki Basti Trek (seems No way unless you take it a real challenge)
7. 9 Days Fairy Meadows Hunza Trip ( Fairymeadows- Hunza - Gulmit & Borit Lake - Passu) (OK)
8. 9 Days Hunza Trip ( Hunza - Altit Fort - Baltit Fort - HoperValley /Glacier- Gulmit- Borit Lake - Passu) (OK)

I have two more questions :

Is it the best time to visit hunza ?because i know from my experiences that weather conditions can change the landscape of these areas dramatically.

2.In your experience which is the best place to visit in December?

Sorry for asking too many question :$, but i am asking all these question because my last visit to Kashmir (in Sep) was total waste of time and money. It was totally opposite of what i have seen in my last trip (in April). So this time I don't want to visit any beautiful place at wrong time.

To be honest i never visited northern areas in winter its my first trip in winter.

i am well equipped for summer trip but for winter trip i am not. I would appreciate if guys can also share a list of must have items for winter trip.

defintly hunza will be cold with snow on the mountains but it will open open by land ............... now in my opinion welll........ hmmmmmmmm...

i think u shud go for option 8.............

In last week of December i am going to trip with a tour operator, to swat and kalam but i want to extend my stay there and visit other surroundings areas too. Following is the day plan provided by tour operator is there any other places you would recommend to visit in this area.

Day Plan

Day. 1.
At Night 9:00 PM Departure from Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad to Swat by Shahid Coach (Daewoo). Arrival in Swat at 5:30 AM After Breakfast Drive onward to Kalam. Reach Kalam 11:30 AM. Free Time for rest in Kalam Hotel. After Lunch Trek to Boyun Meadows 1 hour 30 Mints Trek. 2 Hours to Explore Boyun Meadows. Night Back in Hotel.
Day. 2.
Early Morning after Breakfast Start traveling to Utror and onward to Gabral Valley, to Explore Gabral and Kharkhari Lake, 30 Mints Trek till Kharkhari Lake. After Lake visit Travel Back to Gabral Night Stay in Gabral Valley.
Day. 3.
After Breakfast Start traveling towards (Badawi Pass, DoTeer Pass 3525 meters or 11562 feet), as Snow covered area starts, leave Jeep and start Trekking on snow towards Pass and onward to Thal, As we reach Plain area once again have ride of Jeep till Thal.
Day. 4.
After Breakfast Start Traveling to Kumrat Valley Full day to explore Valley. Night Back in Thal.
Day. 5.
After Breakfast Start Traveling to Batkhela Via Dir and onward back Home.

Sorry for reawakening one year old thread but I just want to know If u managed to complete your december 2014 trip? If yes, then where did u go? Asking this because I m planning a trip this coming december so shortlisting the possibilities. Thanks anyways
