If u change the Day-3 to Battakindi to Hunza, and Day-7 to Hunza to Battakindi, then u will have 2 additional days to explore hunza and surrounding.

After end of rainy and tourist season, Battakindi to Hunza is easily doable in one day. Likely to take maximum 8 hours on some very good roads.

Day 1
Islamabad to Batakundi easily if you leave from Islamabad early morning like 6am, take motorway till manshehra and then to new balakot city, then follow the KKH for Naran and cross naran and reach Batakundi / Burawai.

Day 2
Batakundi to Hunza easily do able in 1 day

Day 3
Explore Hunza, Forts, Eagle Nest (in evening only) because view of hunza valley from Eagle Nest at sunset time is amazing.

Day 4
Explore Hunza, Karimabad,

Day 5
Hunza to Khunjrab and back to Hunza

Day 6
Hunza to Naran,

Day 7
Explore Naran

Day 8
Naran to Islamabad back.

PS: Please confirm the road and bridge condition near Naran Kaghan Batal area as it was vanished on 16th August 2022 due to flood

expect total collapse of area after the natural calamity. Spoke to few contacts everyone is in tears, hundreds of people along Attaabad lake & river hunza are displaced.

I did not go yet I still have another 3 weeks before I start - I dont think that Hunza side is impacted that much btw but who knows?

How much are people in Naran Kaghan affected by the floods? Will it be ethical to visit Naran for tourism in late September?

better to visit next year. its risky and yes unethical.

in the time of misery of locals it is not recommended to be there with family or friends in a party mode, drop the idea. People in misery tend to lose temper and act wild for people or group who tend to appear carefree.

Thanks for the advice but as long as I have talked to some locals who I know in Hunza - there are some landslides yes, but they really do not mind visitors. Just dont be too pompy and showy and show restraint. I do not agree with what anyone said here about ethics. Its their bread and butter they do not mind travelers.

Nothing happened in Naran kaghan and there is no local population. People come in summer and leave before winter, and most of those people depend on your money so do go there and have a good time.
