New AC in Mehran

I own a Mehran VXR 2013 model.

It's AC does run, but the cooling is not as par, considering Interior Sindh's weather.

Took my car to Karachi (saddar), a shop quoted me 50k to replace the current AC with a Vitz one.
Everything else in my car is original so they told me, they won't change it, and will only switch the AC part inside the dashboard.

Anyone has opinions?

It seems like hit & trial method.
If it works, then it would be great.

Can you ask him to show you some Mehran/cultus/Khyber where he has replaced the vitz’s ac and its working fine? If he has done some experiments, then its good. Check by yourself the cooling of the car where he has done such experiment. If you are satisfied with the cooling, then take your decision.

BTW, Mehran’s OEM fitted never seems working even good. Its performance is always lower than average. Specially during day time.

Stay away from that shop, they are out of their minds.

Fix the hot air leaks in the cabin and also realize that you will not get meat chiller type environment in a mehran unless you actually install a meat chiller.

Hence went to their shop located in Karachi, Saddar.
Seems to be reputable, but lol the price was absurd to me.

As I mentioned earlier that Mehran’s own factory fitted ACs even don’t work during day time in summer. They are only good to work during evening/night hours when UV is zero.

Your car has already AC. Just service it well, check gas is full, and that’s all.

Because spending money and fixing the bigger AC of other vehicles won’t work either in Mehran.
