bro i think its not fault of tyres and cars the problem is with drivers who think they can handle it on high speeds and then the results........................... you know better
many of my relatives are using stock tyres rims but never ever got any issue. even on 120 or 140 max no issues.

Bro i also have 9th gen and i go daily on ring road. The main reason i think is bcz of overspeeding! When u go above 160 km/hr u can't dead break obviously u will become also a suspect like others.
Our traffic laws are also not strict even ive experienced on ring road that people are crossing road carelessly and u know on ring road every car has a speed of 100km/hr or above!
Even i have witnessed many accidents bcz of these stupid people crossing the road without looking even knowing that cars are real fast.
Many cars had accidents saving these careless pedestrians!

Please calm down. These crashes are still much lesser than 9th gen corollas crashes. Even high end cars like bmw and Audi also gets involved in accidents. There is no issue with ride height or road grip. Har koi apni apni kahani sunaa raha hay. Issue is with people driving this car. They think they are driving ferrari or bugatti in and over speeding in city limits. All of the accidents reported here are 150km/h +. Even if they are driving Ferrari or Bugatti, public roads are no place to test the limits of your car. And I am sure all these accidents were a result of over-speeding and reckless driving. And with careless driving any car can end up in this state.

I don't think the problem with civic is that it has worse brakes and handling than any other PKDM car, and probably it's the best. The problem is that it's the most powerful and fastest accelerating locally assembled car, and it can attain dangerously high speeds fairly quickly

dont know much about current civic model.. but i have 2010 civic.. my analysis of it is simple...because of very quite cabin(sound) plus very smooth acceleration i often misjudge the speed .. actually over speed the car. besides that, civic brakes are not as good as it appears specially on shiny roads..for example till abs doesn't gets activated your think brakes are super fast plus there is still room to push the brake peddle further...however, when you press the brake peddle hard and full and abs gets activated the car just keeps on moving instead of slowing down (especially on shiny roads)...this is my personal experience and that's how i smashed my old civic 2007 in another cars trunk on red signal.

To cut short , the thing is we Paki minds think that we bought 2.5 million 1.8 ( so called most powerful) and then we tend to show off and drive like crazy without knowing the fact that its just a simple family 140 hp sedan thats it ,wht else you expect from such a normal powered car ? in west or even in middle east these cars are not paid attention even and are considered an average vehicles so the thing is safety is most important then cars but we here dont stop ourselves from showing off or pushing the car to its limit
If some body is adamant to drive fast and drive like crazy then buy some other class in this way you will save yourself and like wise surroundings too !

The question is why aren't there so many 8th gen crashes? If it is the fault of the driver then is se pehlay they wouldve crashed reborns too! But that is not the case.. logon ki mentality to wohi haina?
Right now they treat 9th gen as a ferrari. A few years ago, they were prolly treating 8th gen as a ferrari.
Maniacal driving to tab bhi hotee thee but the reports were not as much as of the 9th gen.
Something tells me that there is a mechanical fault in the car...

Well my observation is that 8th generation is way too fast than a 9th generation civic .... But the problem is with mentality if the people specially when a new car with new shape is purchased they want to showoff their driving skills plus horse power of the cars and in such circus cars totalled .... No rocket science and no fault of car

bro if u search u will get many 8th gens involved in accidents but majority of them is due to rash or fast driving. i also owned one 8th gen and 9th gen prosmatec, even on 8th gen i dont feel the speed more that 110kmpl even on 150kmph actual.

8 gen is more stable than this one as it is a high bed car and previous gen is low bed. It is a fact. Honda users treat this one as they were used to when reborn came out in 2007.
You are totally blind when you are making some turns. The pillars are pathetically designed.

Corolla is also having a lot of accidents. The only thing is, this is the more recent model and focus is on this shape. Just wait a few months and the new shape corolla threads will start rolling in. Its nothing like that since it is a new model... everyone posts about the crashes be it civic or corolla. Wheb the shape blends in becomes old people dont give a crap about its crash.

If you look at the damage to these cars posted in this thread it becomes obvious that they were way above 120kmph... at such speeds its more of the driver and speed factor rather then the car...
If you compare 8th and 9th gen then I would say all cars have mind of their own and will react differently at high speeds. We even same car but with more passengers react differently.

If would have believe the argument if crashes were happening under 100kmph with problems like abs not kicking etc.

Secondly this civic has front crumple zone which previous model didnt have as when it hits something the damage looks more horrible then it actually is.

All accidents posted here are severe ones. They have nothing to do with tyres. Good tyres won't save you if you're a moron driving at 160km/h on a road that permits a speed of 80. Or they won't save you if another moron crashes into you.
