We may never know the actual circumstances of the accident. Only Allah alone knows the real truth. Even if the so called police constable told the story of over speeding being the cause of the disaster, we still don't know what made them speed up at that very moment. Who knows maybe the oncoming truck steered towards the wrong direction and is responsible.
That being said, with all due respect to the departed souls and their mourning families and friends, if this accident was due to the unnecessary risk taken by the driver and his friends, this doesn't amount to an "accidental death". Accidental death was of that person who died in the Rawalpindi crash of a Mercedes with a dumper truck a few days ago (a thread also exists here on that).
This death(civic), possibly, amounts to suicide (or equivalent). We are all Muslims and thus have a faith that our lives and everything belongs to our creator. Hence we have no right to end our lives in this or similar fashions. An unnecessary over speeding means taking a completely unavoidable risk.
We should all keep that in mind the next time we think it's ok to speed up and show the "tashan" of our cars.
No offense intended for the youngsters who died in this crash and their families. I pray that Allah forgives the sins of the departed and grant them a place in Jannah and also that May Allah give the patience to the respective mourning loved ones to bear this irrecoverable loss (Ameen).
EDIT: The intended purpose of this post is not to disrespect anyone. It's only for us to take a lesson and realize that unnecessary risks on the road may not just be fatal, but could also amount to suicide which, as a Muslim, we all know, will lead us straight to hell and that life is forever.
