Any price idea for the base and top of the line Altis'?

No Immobilizer
No Climate Control
No Audio Control Steering for base model Altis
No Projection Lamps

Although It is a Corolla thread but i cannot help saying that Civic is the Value for money as far as PKDM is concerned. looks like Indus didn't give much thought into Altis

Indus has pre-decided the fate of Altis already : Flop as the present and previous models of Altis are

If we look at the spec sheet It is indeed a feature rich car
So many new much needed and nice features
Sun visor lamp
Rear recline and folding seats
Rear reading light
Paddle shift etc
But if we care about our loved ones we atleast need front passenger air bag in fact a car in this segment should atleast have 4 to 6 airbags
And even Atlas Honda should also give more airbags
But it's a shame that indus is giving only 1
Now climate control
I really hated new civic when I saw the basic version vti without climate control even daihatsu mira has it but for indus again it's a shame not even in grande
Immobilizer ..what should I say really speechless

I am afraid second sad reality could be , new xli coming with manual windows at 1.75 million now

Most importantly the Altis customer base is not interested in Paddle shifters ... that is what I meant when I said they didnt give much thought while selecting 'features'

The corolla does have an alarm . A factory installed alarm security system would be better than nothing , no?
Not as good as an immobiliser, buy at least they're giving us a chota mota sa theft deterrent.

Pakistan is the only place where the top of the line Altis is being sold with only 1 airbag. Search online and you wont find a single airbag new corolla Altis variant anywhere. There has been zero progress in Altis in terms of safety in the last 10 years. The other features they are offering are more of shashka. The price tag of the top of the line Altis as leaked by a fellow member is expected to be 25 lakhs (add registration and insurance/tracker will cost close to 28 lakh !!!)..so paying 28 lakhs for a car with just one airbag and no immobilizer is meaningless in my view.

No Immobilizer = Means insurance tracker is a must (add at least 100,000 PKR per year for that)
No Dual airbag = Is this even a modern car ?

Oh yeah dont forget as I stated before, unlike the Civic which is different car altogether from City the Altis Grande is nothing more than a scaled up version of the XLi.

Totally agree with you paying 25 + Lakhs for a car with just one airbag is foolish.

From what I have heard it is very easy for crooks to disable security alarm systems. Many corollas stolen across the country have these security systems installed. Immobilizers are the only thing that confuses these crooks and takes some time to be cracked.

Given the track record of the Corolla being the most stolen car in Pakistan. It is in high demand by the crooks so this is something to consider seriously before spending so much money. Personally I would never compromise on the safety (airbag) and security (immobilizer) aspect and I advise other members to do the same for their own benefit so that eventually these local automobile assemblers will be forced to add these features to sell their products.

Hmmm, you're right.
But Toyota indus isn't going to suffer any loss in profit thanks to taxi and rent a car fleets purchasing the 1300cc variants in huge numbers.
And I'm sure Toyota will definitely keep the production of Altis according to demand. therefore more profit (gained by 1300cc base models) and less loss (top of the line Altis variant).

It will be interesting to know more about this alarm. How well its embedded in the cars system and all.

4 different varients introduced of a single model Altis i just want to say aik he Altis banaty but kaam ki.. one varient only that would have immobilizer dual airbags climate control but instead tjey introduced 4 diff varients of altis which is so lame i dnt know what they were thinking n the only diff they put is the engine n sum hav 4 speakrs sum have audio control on streeing lol i think Toyota walon ko rozay ka asar ho gya hy

So not offering Immobilizer in corolla puts IMC as party with the thieves that steal corolla in highest numbers. Even from the locked car porches of ordinary man. It is lame and nonsense by not offering the safety and security features and providing steering controls for the juke box.

With due respect , I think my post from previous page should be added in post number 1 of this thread as it includes all the specs of new upcoming Altis , it would be easier for any member to have a look at what the indus is offering in this upcoming new model , they won't have to search pages again n again and most importantly many visitors won't even see the spec sheet that I shared on previous page
