This is probably the 1F8 we get in Japanese Vitz, (commonly known as Pencil Grey) and being new and lights playing on it makes it look much cooler

And remember this, Vitz is used, probably repainted. Not sure if previous owner even applied wax to it:) This Corolla has fresh paint and was probably scrubbed as **** and detailed, plus them high wattage lights play a big role. Ever seen ladies shop clothes and when they come home, they don't like it anymore?

Dear all,
Please tell us when the new Toyota Corolla will be launched in Pakistan by Toyota Indus. There are rumors that it will be launched in October or November 2013 and will be available for delivery in January 2014. This is what I have heard from a car dealer. Please tell us if this is true. Anybody please.

Toyota is starting preparing for the production of new model in june 2014 and will start proper production in the end of this year...

Toyota have not yet started any production of the new model. they are still producing the current shape. i have an acquaintance who supplies a crucial part of the corolla to indus. he has provided samples for the test cars of the 2014 corolla but he is still producing parts for the current shape. he has just supplied parts for at least 10K corollas of the current shape. so IMHO, they won't starting the production of the new corolla anytime before 2014june. whenever the part of the new corolla starts producing, i'll be the first one to let the fellow PWers know.

I don't know when this practice of local manufactures ripping off Pakistani consumers will be stopped. Just look at the biggest garbage of all times the Atlas Honda's Civic. I've never come across such a piece of trash before and just look at the price tag: A staggering 2.73 million. The ride is awful, the interior sucks and the price tag is beyond imagination.

Just a few days back a fellow pakwheeler bought a brand new Civic and posted if there was anything wrong with its suspension because his Civic's ride was so stiff that it felt like he was driving on bare rims. He asked for suggestions on how to fix it and it was a brand-new car.

Toyota's quality is a little better but it too is far below the international standard.

These local manufactures are ripping us off by robbing us of our hard-earned money.

Maloom naheen k hamaray saath yay bayhoodaa mazaak kub khatam ho ga. We all should boycott buying locally manufactured trash.

Hahahaha.. Absolutely .. That stiffness of Honda was the main reason I sold reborn and got corolla. Although as you mentioned, its overall quality is below than standard but suspension is very soft and a person like me who travels 4000kms a month (lahore - Islamabad) every month, I find corolla less tiring than Civic. But rightly said, we should discourage local cars unless they increase standards and gives us value for money.
