New Cultus pricing

I just went to check cultus in showroom...the dealer told me that the new cultus has the same engine as a wagon r....i checked on internet and found that he cultus engine is 50hp while that of wagon r is 64 hp.....my question is how is cultus priced at 14 lac despite having a weaker engine than a wagon r.....another question is how is cultus priced more than a swift which is a 1300cc 92 hp engine.....

I don't know where you are getting your facts from man. But the New Cultus and Wagon R have EXACTLY the same engine. There is absolutely no difference among the the two.
And I guess Pak Suzuki justifies VXL's price by the fact that it has 2 airbags which are not there in Swift.

My source is pakwheels...where i saw specification for both the cars....and do you really think two air bags would make a car like cultus more expensive than swift....swift is a 1300cc car....completely different class.....

Pakwheels has wrong info based on previous rumors.

And yeah the price is soo not justified. Hardly anyone cares about airbags these days. I'm pretty sure they introduced airbags just to please the Government since it is one of their top clients.
The average buyer with 13-14lacs in his pocket will definitely go for Swift, Vitz, Passo or Mira because he cares more about value for money which is not the case for Government coz those people pay with money looted from that average buyer through taxes.

Honda is still somewhat sane in their pricing and actually keep the average consumer in their mind when making decisions.
Pak Suzuki executives are just batsh*t crazy! They will do anything to keep their unsustainable, poorly organized company afloat. They are actually a disgrace to Suzuki Japan. Ruined their hard earned reputation.

New Cultus (Celerio) & WagonR both share same engine and same power.

Same K10B engine is employed in both WagonR n Cultus. . .However it is overpriced by 50% as compared to CVT automatic global edition n also some features are minus like CVT gear, controls on steering. . . !

Overpriced by 50%...aray bhai....this car is available in india for 4.5 lac rupees only with more advanced features.. converting to pkr we get 7 lac only.....

My question is ..... how is it okay for Pak Suzuki to do something like this so openly and khulam khulla? There is no way this can be justified at all yet they are doing it and showcasing such mental price difference without a worry .... are we to blame for this? Have we turned the other cheek and paid hefty unjustified amounts in the past so many times that now they simply dont care?

Build quality of the new cultus is very bad. They body panels were like made of cooking oil tins. The doors wouldn't close unless you bang them hard. Interior quality was very average.

It is not something you pay 14 lacs for. I will not pay anything above 12 lacs for that thing.

It's small, length and width is equal to Wagon R but it feels smaller than Wagon R when you sit inside because it's not tall like the Wagon R. Back seats feel very small.

Car has all the basic features but it's way over priced, Why would anyone in his right mind not add another 1.5 lacs and buy Honda City which is many times better in size, build quality and power. 14 lac ki dinky car kion le koi.

prices of all japan imported cars have increased silently from last 4 - 5 years, i remember in 2014 u can buy a good grade passo for not more than 1050 thousands and same for vitz, but now you cannot find a good passo (not less than three years old) at about 1350 thousands. So what is this fuss all about, i have driven Japanese passo/vitz they r good cars but also old too, and surfaces too many problems with time. On the other hand i have used new swift and city, with time they serve better than them.

And honda city will have the same price overhaul when it will have the model upgrade, history shows us in 2008 new city was around 1015 thousands So...................
Cultus is not in competition with city it will be competing the old Japanese cars...........

O mere bhai....Passo/vitz offer much better power, driving comfort, fuel efficiency and features than this pakistani crap....a three year old 4 grade passo vitz is much better and reliable than any pakistani car...mind it....and about cultus competing with japanese cars...I dont think so....it is a competitor of locally assembled wagon r only.....since it has the same engine as a locally assembled wagon r.....It is just like you take a locally assembled wagon r and price it at the cost of honda city.....I just cant believe it they have priced it over swift......what are they really giving.....
