yeah check G16B...it can be the good option.....if not so go for G13B Baleno one....G13B GTTi TwinCam was the one you hardly find...no availability is shershah also.......try finding 1.6 GTi engine.....

the G13B is Better then a G16B. iT is Lighter, has some Strong internals and Can gulp Out more Power then a G16B if TuNed ProperlY... AND Above All GTi only and ONLY came in G13B (btw:- JDM version had 115Bhp!), i Suggest anyone Going for a swap, to wait for this Motor iF its Unavailable, SEARCH for iT iF POSSIBLE warnaa ager Just For Fun ride bananee Hai too G16B is For u...... aur ager TRACK (circuit legal one) per kisi ko marnaa hai To G13B! .

waisae G13B kee Consumption bhii Comparitively iS much Lesser then a G16.....

@Racer: Is it possible that the G16b after tuning produces more BHP than the G13b? Coz some ppl think that wht ever u do, the G13b would b better than G16b with ne mod u hav!

I just dont wanna name those ppl:D
Ne ways, with the rite tuning, n all, would it b wise enough to buy the G16b?

And if availability is not the issue, would it b better to buy the G16b, n mod it, or buy G13b and mod it?? Which engine would produce more pwr??

Well as the saying goes "there is no replacement for displacment" and guess what it is true. So yes with proper tuning and parts it can produce more hp and push a bigger turbo then a G13. But I believe what those ppl meant to say was that the G13b comes with forged internals and hence more boost friendly then the G16.

well in khi. there are 2 G13B available in low cost but the prob is of ECU. and this can also be solve . G13B widout ECU is 20K now for ecu u have to spend around 10-12K can avail u .! and as far as talkin abt G16B . it ain't availble.i m talkin abt the G16B(VITARA ver.) the BALENO version is available but too expensive.

i think the G13B also comes in baleno.....
so whats the 16Valve version comes in baleno?...i think its also the G13B.....margalla SOHC was G13 engine....
from my knowledge...G13B in baleno was also 16V but one SOHC whereas G13B GTTi was 16V Twin cam....
SOHC G13b rated as 85ps means around 84hp.....whereas G13B TWin Cam Gtti was rated around 100hp motor....it has forged internals.Hollow Camshafts with strong internals made.....COmpression ratio is raised to 10.5 to give out 100hp....The JDM Cultus comes with G13B which has compression ratios raised till 11.5.tubular exhaust headers, a tubular intake manifold, larger camshafts and a reprogrammed ECU..which was rated as 84Kw means round 113hp....
thats what info i get.....its bit mix-up in engine nos of Suzuki as there comes many model...same engine nos with different changes....G13BA also comes..maybe i am wrong but i am bit sure about G13B with 11.5 haveing 113hp...normally all say its 100hp but JDM cultus gets it....with compression raised till 11.5.......
do inform me what baleno engine actually was.....carby and Efi both....

PakSuzuki neva Offered the G13B which was Twin Cam 16v to the "PDM" (Pakistan Domestic Market ) .

The G13B came in The Two Door Version of The Swift MK1, MK2z and 3z as well... But not iN any Other Model as FAR as i kNoW....
The Baleno we have here has a 1.3L Engine Codenamed G13BB which iS 16v But SOHC givinG 85ps.......
The Baleno was Also Offered in 1.6L, But i Dun know much aBout iT so i am Afraid i Cant give any details about iT..... '' But i Think iT HAD a 1.6L SOHC 16v which was rated at around ~100ps [ps: Someone correct me]

There is No Such thing as a " G13B GTTi "
The GTi which Comes after Swift's Name stands for The Sportiness of the Car.... ( actually they took the name from the VW Golf GTi ), iT stands for Gran Tourismo Injection.

whereas GTTi Stands for Gran Tourismo TURBO Injection. Charade did came in a Turbo version, which was 1000cc Turbo, and so it was known as the GTTi ....... as Swift never Came with a Turbo except for The American GeoMetro (Swift, which had a G10 Turbo) THUS
iT Never GOT the Batch of the GTTi .....

i Hope ALL iS CLEAR....... Please Ask if NoT ..... cause i am Eager to Let ppl Know about Swift GTi'z.

AND you are absolutely Bullseye about the JDM G13B which was 113- 115bhp. The Europeon Versions are slightly detuned to meet the Stricter Emition Standards Therefore give out Less Power as compared to Engines introduced to JDM.

RacerF1: So it all ends up that the G13b was meant to b modified, with no major additional costs as Forging the pistons.... where as the G16b can produce more pwr but with, a lot of extra cost, RITE?
