No bro prado 2700cc was coming in 4 sd auto and 4000cc in 5sd auto till 2014 . But From 2015 and ownwards model its coming in 6sd auto.

Buddy i own 2011 prado 4000cc and 2008 thai vigo 2700cc, also my cousin got 2700 2011 prado....i know the gearbox of these cars plz google n chrck prado is coming with cvt gearbox

4 spd cvt as the gearbox of my 2700cc thai vigo is completely different in shifting compare to Prado 2700cc, civic is cvt but got 7 spd same with altis cvt got 7spd but everyone says cvt. I hope u get my point

Actually u r right it is 4 spd auto but full time 4wd which is why it is slightly different in gear shifting

Bro I think you are mistaken. The Prado TZ (4.0L) is definitely a 5 speed auto. I own one too, it is not CVT.

Most of the car dealers in pakistan hardly know anything about the cars they are selling to us.
When the lexus ct 200 was quiet new in our market a showroom wala showed it to my brother and father and said to them its a 2000cc hybrid.
So i dont trust these showrooms walas whatever they say about a car.

No proper 4x4 is coming in CVT. CVT still has issues in handling higher torque engines or bigger engines. It is still an evolving technology. Toyota will not put it in its flag ship hard core off road vehicles until CVT has proven its toughness.

Very right. That technology is engineered towards efficiency, economy and speed; not towards immense torture in demanding harsh offroad environment and long-term reliability.
