For your fathers daily driver. If you have a decent JDM in sight definetly go for it.
You can already get parts. And after the local cars launch you would definitely get better access of parts.
Driving a cvt would be better then an AGS any day. The basic variants in Japanese Alto comes with the same AGS technology. Since you are eyeing a S variant it's considered the top of the line with all bells and whistles.
To add to it, Japanese built quality and peace of mind.
I my self was eyeing a 5000km driven S grade Suzuki alto which was on port but due to documentation the car was later auctioned by the FBR.
So for now I'm holding my decision against Alto and waiting for picanto or the AGS WagonR.
If not I'd finance a XLi AT for home use. (Yes its 2.2 million compared to alto at 1.4 milliom) but I'd finance it for a longer period maybe π€·ββοΈ
